THE 5TH ANNUAL ANISHINAABE DAYS TRADITIONAL POWWOW IS BACK! πŸͺΆ

Join us as part of the 5th Annual Anishinaabe Days celebration for a weekend of song, dance, drumming, and gathering at Naawi-Oodena, 505 Kenaston Boulevard, Winnipeg, on July 25 and 26.

The Anishinaabe Days Traditional Powwow has become an important stop on the Treaty One Powwow Trail, bringing together dancers, drum groups, families, and visitors from across Treaty One Territory and beyond. For our urban members who may not be travelling to community powwows this summer, this is your opportunity to gather, celebrate, and experience the beauty of our Anishinaabe culture right here in the heart of Winnipeg. Everyone is welcome.

Family Fun Day is next week on Thursday, July 30th from 4:00–6:00pm at Mulvey School (750 Wolseley).

Acorn Family Place will be set up with games and activities. Food is provided, with halal and vegan options available. We can’t wait to see you there!

Our Selkirk Avenue Farmers Market is every Friday from 11am-3pm at Powers Park Plaza 🌭πŸ₯šπŸ₯•πŸ…

We have weekly cooking classes on Thursdays from 1:00pm-3:30pm at Sergeant Tommy Prince Place. Classes are geared toward ages 14+* and we provide education on meal preparation, grocery shopping, managing food waste and more.

Our Good Food Box is available for pickup on Tuesdays, every two weeks. The deadline to register is the Friday before each GFB pick up. For more information on our programs or how to register, please contact 204-927-2348 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot!
