PRP has generated a lot of interest as a potential treatment for erectile dysfunction. But what does the evidence actually say?

Current research suggests that while the theory behind PRP is promising, the evidence available today has not yet shown a clear benefit for treating ED. That doesn’t necessarily mean PRP doesn’t work—it means we need more well-designed studies to better understand who may benefit and how it should be used.

That’s why we’re excited to be contributing to the future of men’s health research right here at Men’s Health Clinic.

Manitoba will be launching Canada’s first clinical trial on PRP for erectile dysfunction, helping to grow the evidence and advance our understanding of this emerging treatment.

Testosterone is one of the most misunderstood hormones in men’s health.

In this video, Dr. Premal covers:
✔️ Common myths about low testosterone
✔️ What “normal” testosterone levels actually mean
✔️ Why a single cutoff may not tell the whole story
✔️ A recent Journal of Urology paper exploring age-specific testosterone thresholds instead of relying on one strict number for everyone

The takeaway? Testosterone isn’t simply “low” or “normal.” Symptoms, age, overall health, and lab values all matter when making decisions about evaluation and treatment.

Low s***m morphology sounds scary on paper— but does it actually predict fertility outcomes, or is teratozoos***mia one of the most misunderstood numbers on a semen analysis? 🔬🧬

Here we describe what “abnormal shape” really means, why the cutoffs are stricter than most people realize, and when it actually matters clinically vs. when it’s just noise. 👇

Peptides are everywhere in the wellness world right now - sold online as the next big thing for anti-aging, muscle recovery, sleep, even mental focus. The claims are bold. Unfortunately - the human data is often thin to nonexistent.

⚠️ Health Canada has warned Canadians against buying and injecting unauthorized peptide drugs purchased online. When they’re bought from unlicensed sellers, they haven’t been assessed for safety, quality, or effectiveness, and there’s no way to know what’s actually in the vial.

Some of these compounds have promising early or preclinical research. Some have plausible biology behind them. Many peptides being marketed for wellness purposes have never gone through real human clinical trials - which means the effectiveness and the side effects are largely unknown.

🧠 Before you inject anything you found online: - Ask what human trials actually exist (not animal studies, not anecdotes) - Check for a Health Canada Drug Identification Number (DIN) - Talk to a licensed healthcare provider, not an influencer - Remember: “natural” and “biologically active” don’t mean “safe”

Your body isn’t a beta test. Be skeptical of anything promising a fountain of youth in a vial. 💉🚫

Botox works by gently relaxing specific facial muscles that cause expression lines over time. It’s most often used in areas like the forehead, frown lines between the brows, and crow’s feet around the eyes.

The goal isn’t to change your face. It’s to soften the appearance of lines while maintaining natural movement and expression.

Many men also use Botox preventatively, helping to reduce the formation of deeper lines before they become more pronounced.

A typical appointment is quick, straightforward, and involves a consultation first to understand your goals, followed by a tailored treatment plan if appropriate.

At Men's Health Clinic, results are always approached with balance in mind. Nothing overdone. Nothing artificial-looking.

Just a more rested, confident version of you.

One of the biggest misconceptions about aesthetic treatments is that booking a consultation means committing to a procedure. It doesn't.

An aesthetic consultation is simply an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your goals, and learn about the options available to you.

Whether you're curious about Botox, Morpheus8, PRP hair restoration, or simply want to better understand your skin health, the consultation is where the conversation starts.

At Men's Health Clinic, our approach is personalized and education-focused. We'll take the time to understand your concerns, explain potential treatment options, and help you determine what makes sense for your goals without obligation.

Recently, the U.S. military announced it will begin annual testosterone screening for service members aged 30 and older, with testing optional for those younger.

It’s an understandable move— the stress and physical demands of military service can genuinely affect hormone levels. But applying broad screening to a mostly asymptomatic population raises real questions.

TRT is recommended for men with a diagnosed medical condition affecting hormone production along with signs and symptoms of testosterone deficiency. There’s no strong evidence yet that routinely screening healthy, asymptomatic men actually improves meaningful outcomes, whether that’s readiness, energy, or long-term health.

So what do we actually know? Testing makes the most sense when it’s tied to symptoms—fatigue, low libido, reduced muscle strength, mood changes— not applied blanket-style to everyone past a certain age.

If you’re experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, that’s worth a conversation with your doctor. We can assess your individual history and symptoms and help you figure out whether testing—or TRT— is actually the right next step for you.
