🌿 MEET THE OWNERS: THE STORY BEHIND ALERA 🌿🦊
Hi! We realized that we never actually introduced ourselves, so here we go, from left to right: Ashley, Maria and Cris. Pleasure to meet you 😊
Alera's origin story is surprisingly simple.
One Tuesday night, the three of us were out for wings, like we usually were. Somewhere between catching up, talking about work, and debating whether we should order another basket, the conversation turned into:
"What if we opened our own clinic?"
At first it felt like one of those ideas you throw around for fun. The kind of thing that's exciting to imagine but probably stays a conversation.
Except it didn't.
The more we talked about it, the more it made sense. What started as a passing thought slowly became a plan. Then appointments, paperwork, paint samples, furniture deliveries, and a thousand little decisions we never imagined we'd be making.
If we're being honest, Alera wasn't built from some flawless master plan. It was built from friendship, a shared love of helping people, equal parts excitement and panic, and enough chicken wings to qualify as a business expense (our accountant may disagree).
What we did know from the beginning was that we wanted to create the kind of space we'd want to walk into ourselves: somewhere warm, welcoming, judgment-free, and genuinely caring. A place where nobody feels like they need to leave part of themselves at the door.
Where people can show up exactly as they are, whether they're training for a marathon, recovering from an injury, carrying the weight of stress, navigating life changes or simply needing an hour to breathe.
Looking back, it's hard not to feel like Alera found us as much as we found it.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us, trusted us with their care, and helped turn a Tuesday wing-night conversation into the community we've built today.
