Summer Book Reading Contest 2026 – Celebrating Our Winners!

Alhamdulillah! We are delighted to celebrate the wonderful achievement of our young readers who participated in the Summer Book Reading Contest 2026.

The contest was organized into 3 groups, with 9 winners in total.

Prizes have been awarded for Each Group:
1st Position — $50 Gift Card + Certificate
2nd Position — $30 Gift Card + Certificate
3rd Position — $25 Gift Card + Certificate

All other participants have received a special gift as a token of appreciation for their enthusiasm and participation.

A heartfelt congratulations to all our winners, and sincere appreciation to every participant and their parents for making this reading journey so meaningful.

May Allah bless our children with beneficial knowledge and a lifelong love for reading and learning.

Alhamdulillah, a beautiful new journey has begun!

Today, MCC Weekend School has proudly launched it's Winnipeg Downtown Branch.

The day was filled with a festive mood, smiles, enjoyment, and excitement as around 50 students, alongside their parents and community leaders have joined us. Children came together to begin a new journey of learning, friendship, and growth.

May Allah bless our children with beneficial knowledge, strong faith, and continued success.

Assalamu Alaikum,

As announced, our regular classes will begin tomorrow, Sunday, September 13, at 11:00 AM, InshaAllah.

To welcome our students back, the first class will be held in person at Winnipeg Central Mosque (WCM) at Ellice for both Downtown and South students. This will be a great opportunity for students to meet their peers.

We will also distribute prizes to the Summer Book Reading Competition winners.

A reminder to motorists that school zone speed limits return tomorrow as students prepare to head back to the classroom.

Please watch for children walking, cycling, and crossing streets, especially during busy drop-off and pick-up times. A few extra seconds can make a big difference when it comes to keeping our young learners safe.

Let's work together to make the start of the school year a safe one for everyone.

This year, we are starting our downtown branch to extend this facility for more interested Bangladeshi families in our community.

The topic has been covered last two years in our MCC Weekend School.

Prizes range from $200 to $50 depending on grades and positions.

Our young readers in 3 groups in Winnipeg are enjoying an exciting summer of Islamic book reading, learning about Islamic faith and the lives of the Prophets.
