"It's a dry heat" is a coping mechanism.
Your brain on dehydration genuinely makes worse decisions. Slower reaction time, foggier thinking, shorter fuse. That headache by 4pm is not your boss, it's your fluid levels.
Water first. Electrolytes second. Massage when your shoulders forget how to drop.

Resentment is a real muscle group.
So is jealousy. And the specific tension of watching someone post a photo from the Oregon coast while you're peeling your thighs off a hot leather seat in the Costco parking lot.
Your body holds what your bank account can't always fix. A vacation is great. A massage is closer, cheaper, and your nervous system actually gets a chance to land.
Book in bio, Mesa. We'll take it from here.

Your body in Phoenix at 3pm is not relaxed. It is in low-grade survival mode.
Shallow breath. Clenched jaw. Shoulders bracing for the parking lot walk. Heart working overtime just to keep you cool. That's not in your head, that's your nervous system doing actual labor every time you step outside.
Then you wonder why you're tired by 7pm.
Evening sessions are open. Come let your body stand down.

Things Arizonans do in summer:
Sprint to the car like the pavement is lava.
Plan errands around shaded parking.
Forget what their own legs feel like in shorts.
Develop a personal grudge against the sun.
Your nervous system is also taking notes, by the way. Sitting still in cold air for weeks at a time isn't rest, it's storage. Muscles get sticky, hips get tight, shoulders forget they have a job.
Come move some blood around.

House rules:
Your appointment time is your start time, not your arrival time.
Get here 5 to 10 minutes early. Use the restroom, drink the water, sit down, breathe out the day.
Your nervous system needs a minute to remember it's allowed to rest. Don't rob yourself of that window.
See you on the table, Mesa.

Things that happen in Arizona summer that should not be normal:
Tires exploding in the Costco parking lot.
Steering wheels that require oven mitts.
Dogs in little shoes.
Eggs cooking on the sidewalk as a party trick.
Your body keeps score on all of it. The shallow breathing in the heat, the constant bracing every time you step outside, the way your shoulders climb whenever the AC kicks on too cold. It adds up.
Come let me undo some of it.

97-degree pool water in Phoenix summer isn't refreshing. It's just a slower way to cook yourself.
Your muscles are perpetually tight because your body never gets actual relief—just transitions between different levels of heat.
The AC is the only place you're actually cool. Everything else is just suffering with better vibes.
Book a massage in the AC and pretend it's a vacation since you can't actually leave the house without melting.

The clouds lied.
The rain didn't come.
Your shoulders are up by your earlobes and your head is pounding like the storm at least had the decency to arrive.
It didn't. But I'm here.

The financial anxiety at the gas station is real but they'll tell you to budget better while Exxon posts billions in profit.
You're not bad with money. You're being robbed in real-time.
They bombed three countries this month and gas went up again but sure, totally unrelated.
The "drive less" advice comes from people who've never had to choose between a full tank and feeding their kids.
War profiteering looks like your empty wallet and their full offshore accounts.

Remember when ending wars was the campaign promise?
Now we're bombing more countries than you can name while gas costs $100 to fill and oil execs buy their third yacht.
The "no more wars" crowd is awfully quiet about Syria, Iraq, Iran sanctions, and the Venezuela oil grab.
Almost like the wars were never the problem—just who was profiting from them.
If you're still waiting for those campaign promises, the bridge is still for sale. Cash only.
