IBRA is proud to have contributed to this year’s continuing education program at FESSH 2026, bringing together 512 participants from across the hand surgery and rehabilitation community

The sessions featured expert insights and engaging discussions on key topics including distal radius fractures, syndactyly, ultrasound in hand surgery, Kienböck's disease, and PIP arthroplasty. A new highlight this year was the inclusion of a physiotherapist's perspective within each topic, offering a broader and more integrated clinical approach.

Thank you to the FESSH Organizers, all speakers, faculty members, and participants for making this educational afternoon such a success. It was a pleasure to collaborate with BIRG and contribute to the FESSH educational program.

An intensive and highly successful IBRA Advanced 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐞 in Philadelphia.

Over two days, participants engaged in discussions on current concepts and surgical strategies for managing complex foot and ankle pathologies, including hallux rigidus, arthritic bunions, rigid PCFD, hindfoot arthritis, talar AVN, and advanced fusion techniques. The interactive case discussions provided valuable insights and practical solutions for challenging clinical scenarios.

A particular highlight was the hands-on laboratory session, performed in collaboration with Medartis, focusing on anatomic reduction and fusion techniques and translating contemporary concepts into practical surgical skills.

Many thanks to all participants, faculty members, and Medartis for their engagement and contributions to a rewarding educational experience.

A successful edition of 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐰 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 has come to an end in Miami!

Participants explored the treatment of complex distal radius and elbow fractures through interactive case discussions, CT and X-ray analysis, and hands-on fixation exercises using pre-fractured specimens in a realistic clinical setting.

Thank you to our outstanding faculty, instructors, and participants for making this Master Training Course such an inspiring and engaging educational experience.

A successful “𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬” Course in Leiden!

As course chair Dr. Hannemann shared with us, Leiden’s most famous resident is Trix, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, known for having very short upper extremities. All the more reason to host an Upper Limb Course in Leiden!

Over two intensive surgical days, participants explored modern approaches to fractures and soft tissue injuries around the wrist and elbow using pre-fractured anatomical specimens. The hands-on sessions and interactive discussions created an outstanding learning experience for everyone involved.

Leiden, home to the oldest university in the Netherlands, provided the perfect academic setting. We were delighted to welcome participants from Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Croatia, and the United Kingdom.

Complex articular fractures of the distal radius and elbow remain a real challenge in daily practice. This course combines an intensive theoretical foundation with hands-on experience in a realistic clinical setting. Participants will work with X-rays and CT scans to analyze fractures and develop optimal treatment strategies in close exchange with experienced instructors. The practical session includes internal fixation on 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬, allowing for active discussion, valuable tips and tricks, and direct feedback throughout the procedure.
The course concludes with case presentations and group discussions, giving everyone the opportunity to learn from each other’s experience.
