After launching in July, our All-Energy Enhancement for the VERITON-CT 400 has now completed initial clinical experience at four leading institutions: Florida Theranostics, Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel, Huntsman Cancer Institute and CHRU de Nancy.

Across all four sites, it delivered all-energy theranostics imaging without compromising diagnostic performance.

With that milestone, we’re giving it its own name: VERITON-CT 400 All-Energy.

Here’s what we learned at each site:
🔹 Florida Theranostics: Diagnosis through therapy on one scanner. Tc-99m, I-123, Lu-177 and whole-body I-131, with no second system needed.
🔹 Schneider Children’s: More studies with no trade-off in performance. Results were equal or superior to conventional SPECT in high-dose I-131 and a wide range of Tc-99m studies.
🔹 Huntsman Cancer Institute: A first look at imaging actinium. Ac-225 is one of the hardest therapeutic isotopes to image, and its daughter isotope emissions were visualized in phantom studies.
🔹 CHRU de Nancy: High-energy imaging in routine clinical practice. Whole-body I-131 imaging three days after therapy, as well as other key radioisotopes, on digital CZT.

Thank you to Dr. Ashok MuthuKrishnan, Dr. Zvi Bar-Sever, Pr. Laetitia Imbert and Dr. Jeffrey Yap, along with their clinical teams, for their collaboration and contributions to these initial experiences.

Look for a post tomorrow featuring some of our best clinical images from this initial set of experiences.

Actinium-225 is one of the hardest isotopes in nuclear medicine to image.

Ac-225 is driving a lot of excitement in targeted alpha therapy. But the gamma photons you image come from its daughters, Francium-221 at 218 keV and Bismuth-213 at 440 keV. Those emissions are high-energy and low-abundance, and the injected activity is only a few MBq.

That makes reliable quantitative SPECT very hard. Pharma teams and CROs running Ac-225 programs know this well.

So, we put it to the test.

At Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, Dr. Jeffrey Yap and the Center for Quantitative Cancer Imaging and Theranostics imaged a Graves phantom filled with 3.7 MBq of Ac-225. They used VERITON-CT 400 with our new All-Energy enhancement.

The results:
🔹Both daughter peaks were clearly imaged in a single study.
🔹Fr-221 (218 keV): Less Than +/- 10% Error in Integral Activity
🔹Bi-213 (440 keV): Less Than +/- 10% Error in Integral Activity
🔹Quantitative accuracy held in both energy windows, which is the foundation for Ac-225 dosimetry.

For teams developing alpha therapies, this opens a practical route to quantitative Ac-225 imaging in clinical trials and, eventually, in routine care.

Thank you to Dr. Yap and the Huntsman team for their partnership and rigor.

We are pleased to announce the installation of a second VERITON-CT at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, this time at the new Department of Clinical Physiology at Östra Sjukhuset.

The clinical team made an impressive start, progressing from training to patient imaging during the very first week. Examinations performed included DaTscan, whole-body and three-phase bone scans, amyloidosis imaging, and parathyroid imaging.

This rapid transition into clinical use reflects the dedication of the team and the strength of the collaboration behind the project.

We extend our sincere thanks to the biomedical engineers, medical physicists, technologists (BMA), physiologists, management team, civil works teams, project management, and everyone else who contributed to the successful installation.

Congratulations to the entire team at Östra Sjukhuset on this exciting milestone!

Only one week until our lunch symposium, a discussion you won’t want to miss!

Join us in Vienna to explore how 360° CZT SPECT/CT is expanding possibilities across nuclear medicine, from quantitation and artificial intelligence to high-energy imaging, oncology, theranostics, and clinical workflow.

Professor Denis Agostini, MD, PhD, will moderate the discussion with Professor Laetitia Imbert, PhD, Professor Desiree Deandreis, MD, PhD, and Daniel Juneau, MD, who will share clinical and research perspectives on translating advanced imaging capabilities into practice.

📅 Monday, October 19

Another powerful example of all-energy imaging in clinical practice.

We are pleased to share whole-body I-131 images acquired at CHRU de Nancy on the VERITON-CT 400 Series with the All-Energy Enhancement. The images were acquired three days after treatment with an administered activity of 30 mCi.

“The All-Energy Enhancement for the VERITON-CT 400 Series enabled us to significantly improve the capabilities of our digital CZT SPECT/CT platform to high-energy I-131 imaging. This is an exciting development for post-treatment imaging and its integration into clinical practice,” said Pr. Laetitia Imbert.

A special thank you to Pr. Laetitia Imbert, Pr. Pierre-Yves Marie, and the entire team at CHRU de Nancy for their continued collaboration and for allowing us to share these images.

For a patient, it's finally getting answers.
For a physician, it's confidence in the next decision.
For a family, it's a reason to feel optimistic about what's ahead.

That's why this year's Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Week theme, "Radiating Hope," feels so fitting. Nuclear medicine helps people find answers, discover options, and move forward when they need it most.

This week, we're celebrating the clinicians, technologists, physicists, researchers, and healthcare teams who make that possible every day.

Thank you for the difference you make.

Happy Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Week! 💙
