Ndifon Faith Shie and Bih Marylyn Formabang have successfully defended their Master's dissertations at Shalom University.

Appearing before a distinguished panel of examiners, both candidates demonstrated impressive mastery of their research in Public Health Community Nursing

Marylyn Bih Formabang presented her research on “Barriers to Family Planning Uptake Among Women of Childbearing Age (15–49 Years) in Cameroon: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis, 2000–2025.”

Ndifon Faith Shie on her part presented on “Barriers to Vaccine Uptake in Cameroon: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis, 2000–2025

Following a rigorous evaluation, the jury officially awarded both candidates their Master’s degrees in Public Health.

Mohbashi Faisatou bags MPH in Community Health at Shalom University

Mohbashi Faisatou has been decorated Masters degree holder in Public Health Specialized in Community Health.This was the telus of an academic defense held Friday July 31,2026.

The program was mentored by the University of Douala and Institut Universitaire De La Pointe.

Her thesis defense was anchored on the title, "Prevalence and trends of malnutrition among children age 0 -5yrs in the north west region of Cameroon from 2017 -2025"

After a rigorous grilling and exchange with the jury composed of Prof Sah as Chairman,Dr Shei Claude Nfor as Rapporteur and the Dr Kamchueng as Examiner ,the candidate was accorded an Excellent remark and accordinglu decorated holder of Masters Degree.

HEALTH SCIENCES STUDENTS DEFEND BACHELOR'S DEGREE RESEARCH PROJECTS

Candidates in the Department of Health Sciences of Shalom University successfully completed the defense of their Bachelor’s degree research projects on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The academic defense evaluated candidates across four specialized disciplines notabley:Dentistry, Nutrition, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Sciences.

The degree programs are conducted under the mentorship and academic supervision of the University of Douala and Kesmonds International University.

The successful completion of these defenses marks the conclusion of the candidates' undergraduate degree requirements, qualifying them to advance into their respective professional domains within the healthcare sector.

SHALOM UNIVERSITY SEALS MoU WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF BAMENDA.

The University of Bamenda (UBa) and Shalom Higher Education Institute (SHEI) have officially entered into a strategic academic partnership aimed at expanding high-quality professional training in the region. The two institutions signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday, July 18, 2026, during a formal ceremony held at the Bambili campus of the University of Bamenda.

Under the terms of this newly established partnership, the state-owned University of Bamenda will serve as the mentor institution, providing strict academic supervision, curriculum validation, and quality assurance to Shalom Higher Education Institute. This structural mentorship is designed to elevate and standardize SHEI’s professional training offerings, specifically across its professional Bachelors and Masters degree programs.

The agreement was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bamenda, Professor Theresa Nkuo-Akenji, representing the mentor university. Signing on behalf of the mentored institution was the Founder and Director of Shalom Higher Education Institute, Dr. Shei Claude Nfor, PhD.

Speaking during the signing event, both heads of institution expressed mutual optimism about the collaboration. The partnership aligns with the Ministry of Higher Education's regulatory framework, which mandates private higher education institutions to operate under the academic wing of established state universities to guarantee pedagogical integrity, credential authenticity, and institutional excellence for students.
