For years, Franck has been a valued member of the Winners Foundation. An astute physician and meticulous clinician, he is also an enthusiastic early-career researcher committed to learning and serving his community.
💥On 22 September 2026, Franck successfully defended his medical thesis at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Garoua. His study explored the prognosis and quality of life of children operated on for hydrocephalus in Garoua. His findings underscore the value of early diagnosis, prompt and careful management, and multidisciplinary follow-up.
🧠💪After seven years of hard work, learning and growth, Franck begins a new chapter in medicine and research. We congratulate him on this important achievement and look forward to the contributions he will make to healthcare and research in Cameroon.

💥A valued member of the Winners Foundation for several years, Oumar represents the spirit of service, scholarship and leadership. As a well-published researcher and the current President of the Cameroon Medical Students’ Association (CAMSA), he continues to make a meaningful contribution to medical education and research.
💫We celebrate his achievement in General Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Garoua. His thesis examined factors associated with hyperglycaemia among non-diabetic patients seen in the emergency department of the Ngaoundéré Regional Hospital.

🎉 Celebrating Nathan Ezie Kengo: physician, researcher and leader!
For more than five years, Nathan has been an active member of the Winners Foundation. He has completed the WINNERS MedResearch 237 programme and has contributed to more than 20 publications—a remarkable record of research engagement and productivity.
🫡Nathan has also served in leadership roles, including as President of the Cameroon Medical Students’ Association (CAMSA). He recently reached another major milestone by successfully defending his MD thesis at the University of Garoua.
His cohort study examined the epidemiology, management and outcomes of paediatric traumatic brain injury at Garoua Regional Hospital, contributing valuable evidence on neurotrauma care for children in our region.

For more than five years, Sybile has been a committed member of the Winners Foundation. Today, we celebrate two remarkable milestones: her successful completion of the MedResearch 237 programme, as its first female graduate, and her achievement of becoming a medical doctor.
💫On September 22, she successfully defended her thesis at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Garoua. Her research examined the epidemiology and management of skull base fractures in Garoua through a cohort study.
💥Sybile’s journey reflects perseverance, dedication to research, and a commitment to learning and service. We are proud to celebrate her achievement and the example she sets for women pursuing research and careers in medicine.
