AGAPE Association We are a non-profit organization focused on meeting the needs of under privileged youths in Douala, Cameroon. Supporting with homework and extra tuition.

The children we help are facing family desertion and have or are in danger of falling out of the traditional education system. These children are forced to support their families by working on the streets selling items such as sweets, eggs and peanuts when they should be at school or studying. This leaves them vulnerable to drug and alcohol abuse, sexual exploitation and exposes them to other dang

ers that no child should ever experience. Their families often can’t afford to feed them, send them to school or provide medical treatment when they are ill. We have established a fully functioning daytime refuge center so that the children of Douala have a safe space to go after school. We help children aged 5-14 years old who have had to resort to soliciting money on the streets out of school hours to help pay for their food, clothing, school fees etc. We also support youths aged 14-17 years old – who carry out mini jobs on the streets of Douala in order to support themselves and their families. The Agape Association supports the children’s educational, vocational, physical and social needs. This includes:

Funding their school fees and educational martials. Providing at least one hot meal and a nutritional snack a day
