WAIT… IS THAT REALLY CHIA SEED?
A common mistake: chia seeds and basil seeds (sabja) are NOT the same!
They both swell when soaked, but they have different nutritional profiles.
CHIA SEEDS
Rich in fiber, plant-based omega-3 fats, protein, calcium and magnesium. They can support digestion and fullness as part of a balanced diet.
BASIL SEEDS (SABJA)
Also a source of fiber and other nutrients. When soaked, they develop a gel-like coating and can be added to drinks, yogurt or meals.
HOW TO TAKE THEM
Soak a small amount in water until they swell, then add to your drink, smoothie, yogurt or porridge. Start small if you're not used to high-fiber foods.
WHO CAN TAKE THEM?
Most healthy adults can enjoy them as part of a balanced diet. If you have swallowing or digestive problems or take certain medications, speak with a healthcare professional first.
Remember: nutritious seeds, not miracle cures.
Be honest—did you know chia and basil seeds were different?
