⏳ Different dosage forms fail in different ways.
A useful stability study starts by defining what “failure” means for the final product—not simply choosing a chamber temperature.
🥄 Powder: moisture pickup, caking, poor dispersion
🍬 Gummy: hardening, softening, sweating, potency loss
🟡 Softgel: oxidation, leakage, shell or fill interaction
💧 Liquid: separation, precipitation, color change
The formula, retail packaging, storage conditions and distribution environment determine which attributes should be tested and what the acceptance criteria should be.
Accelerated testing can reveal risks faster, but it cannot turn a generic checklist into a guaranteed shelf life.
