Eco-Village Sol has the mission of becoming Curacao and the Caribbean first 100% self-sustainable community and tourism eco village dedicated to environmental and sustainable research, collaboration and education. Eco-Village Sol will be seen both as a model of a new way of living, and as a place to heal, grow and re-awaken deeper aspects of ourselves that we have forgotten and lost in the frantic
and hectic pace of our industrialized world. This will be a playful, creative and spontaneous journey, and an intense unfolding of what it feels like to be alive, connected and nurturing towards ourselves, other animals and the fragile ecosystem in which we live. Mission and Focus
• To become a model of sustainability incorporating the latest green technologies into our design and infrastructure.
• To actively encourage teachers and workshop hosts to come to Eco-Village Sol and teach various aspects of personal growth, Shamanism, organic farming, yoga, sustainability, biology, and green technologies to children’s and adults.
• To promote the research, development, and use of earth centered technologies that help stabilize our fragile planet and nourishes our souls.
• To encourage and promote cross-fertilization of ideas and resources among ecological organizations and the population.
• We envision a world of diverse ways of being, united in harmony with each other and the planet, and a world that supports the nourishment of each person self-expression.
• To become a center where people can live and work on various Eco related projects.
• To develop and nurture a sense of community - Our primary community will be composed of owners who are free to work on various aspects of “Sol” projects and an extension will be for guests who temporally spend their vacation there and want to experience this way of living.
• To become a collaboration center for teaching, exploring and encouraging cooperation and action towards a sustainable island.
