Prague IntegrationPrague Integration is offering free mental health counselling for Ukrainians in Prague during the weekends at their office on U Kanalky 5 in Prague 2.

Their psychologist, Iryna, will help and support in individual and group sessions. If you would like to register please send an email to [email protected] with your name and surname, and they will get back to you.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED HERE IN CZECHIA TO DO A CRASH COURSE TRAINING AND TAKE CRISIS CALLS IN SERVICE OF OUR UKRAINIAN COMMUNITY DURING THIS HORRIFIC TIME.

PLEASE SHARE

We all see what is happening in Ukraine at the moment. We follow the news and we are in shock.

There is no words which can describe terror which country of Ukraine is going through.

And our expats, our dear citizens and residents of Ukraine, our neighbours and friends, far away from their family, checking out how many bombs have fallen on their cities.

There is not a lot we can do, but there is something we can do: WE CAN HELP AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER ✊❤️🤗

Together with Gail Whitmore, and our team from Prague Integration we are putting on our CRISIS INTERVENTION LINE designed for UKRANIAN EXPATS in different languages:

1. Ukranian
2. Czech
3. English
4. Russian

Therefor we are looking for VOLUNTEERS to help and support us with their skills to offer adequate mental health support.

Please share this, it is essential and crucial we establish team, train them and provide help as soon as possible

Yup. Telling people to let you know what they can do isn't all that helpful. I once saw one where a man had a terminal illness and wrote his goodbye letter and asked for people to not respond because he wanted those last couple of days for his family. A week later I saw people asking him (not his family, mind you, HIM) to let them know if there's anything they can do. 🤦‍♀️ It's a lovely thought but better to ask them directly WHAT they need. People will often respond to this. If you know the person won't find it intrusive, bringing over food, hiring a cleaning service for a few weeks, taking their children out for a few hours, dealing with their laundry - that helps a LOT. Just make sure that whatever you do it's for them and not to make yourself feel good that you reached out. I mean, that feels good too and that's fine but let it be the secondary reason 😊
