Every day, my nurses send me beautiful photos showing what they are doing with our patients, the meals they prepare, and all the loving little moments they share with them.

Whenever I see these pictures, I feel incredibly grateful and proud. I see how much care, patience, and genuine love my nurses give every single day—and I truly appreciate and value their dedication.

Many of our patients are elderly and need a great deal of support. Some have families who live far away, which makes it even more important to know that they are safe, cared for, and surrounded by kindness.

Seeing how well our patients are looked after makes me very happy. To all my wonderful nurses: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do. I see your hard work, and it means more than you know.

Today I was out and about for one of my patients. We organized a shower chair to make things safer at home, and after her doctor finally gave us permission to start with soup, we went to buy fresh vegetables so we can prepare it for her.

She is 90 years old and recently suffered a stroke. Her swallowing is still quite affected, so even something as simple as having a little soup is actually a big step. We practice swallowing, mouth exercises, mobility and strength every day.

Recovery after a stroke doesn’t just happen when you leave the hospital. There is so much work, patience and practice behind every little improvement.

But she is making progress — and that makes all the work worth it. ❤️

Another day, another patient to support.

We were asked to help a new patient after a long hospital stay following a severe infection. Our goal now is to help her regain strength at home.

Today we were able to act quickly: she was severely dehydrated, so we contacted her doctor immediately, who started IV fluids to help prevent another hospital admission. We also provided an air mattress to reduce pressure injuries and a shower chair to make daily care safer.

Home care is about more than treatment—it’s about giving people the best chance to recover in the comfort of their own home.

We’re here for our patients every day.

Today was one of those days.

We accompanied one of our patients to the bank, helping him with everyday tasks that have become difficult on his own. Afterwards, we picked up a comfortable reclining chair for another patient living with dementia, so he can sit more comfortably, rest better, and enjoy a little more quality of life.

And to make the day even more special, we celebrated the birthday of one of our lovely patients with dementia. 🎂 Every smile, every moment of joy, and every little celebration matters.

Home care is about so much more than nursing. It’s about being there, preserving dignity, creating comfort, and bringing kindness into everyday life.

Every day is a little different, but our mission is always the same: helping people live safely and happily at home. 💛

From cooking a favorite meal, keeping the house clean, doing the laundry, providing physiotherapy and relaxing massages, changing dressings, accompanying our clients to doctor’s appointments, or simply sharing a walk and a smile—we’re there for whatever is needed.

It’s often the little things that bring the greatest comfort and make each day a little brighter.

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments in our work are the quiet ones.

Recently, we cared for a gentleman in the final stage of cancer. His only wish was simple and deeply human — he did not want to pass away in a hospital or hospice, but at home.

We organized everything as quickly as possible and brought him home that same afternoon. The next morning I saw his smile and on middays he passed away peacefully, surrounded by a calm and loving environment with us and his son.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. It is a privilege to support people in such a personal and important part of their journey.
