I often joke, "Why do one thing when I can be mediocre at many?" This is my third attempt at sketching and painting. This along with kickboxing, they’re my absolute favorites. Honestly, I’m barely mediocre at either. As I practiced, the woman beside me was absolutely brilliant, but I smiled, reminding myself that comparison is the thief of joy. Instead of obsessing over where I should be, I focus on my own progress—and even when there isn’t much, I know I’m giving my brain a good challenge. I’m learning to slow down, enjoy the process, and laugh at my abilities along the way. There's no reason to stop just because our performance isn’t the best. It’s really about how we get up and try again, especially when we fail.
