The training course Critical Lens: Media Literacy for Human Rights, Peace and Tackling Migration Disinformation is finalised! The project brought together 30 youth workers, trainers and educators living in Germany, Poland, France, Austria, Italy, Spain, Türkiye, Cyprus, and Lithuania — all motivated to strengthen competencies to navigate and engage with the digital information landscape critically, challenge prejudice and discrimination and become multipliers for more informed, inclusive, and peaceful societies.
For that, the project focused on migration narratives, a topic intertwined with human rights, social cohesion, and democratic values, and further equipped youth workers with competencies to mitigate polarised perceptions, counter hate speech and disinformation in our societies.
Each step of the process aimed for a clearer understanding of the role of media in shaping perceptions — and how youth workers, educators and trainers can actively join in efforts to promote Media and Information Literacy among young people and others, foster intercultural dialogue and pluralism and contribute to more balanced and human rights-based narratives online.

Critical Lens continues to grow through the actions of its participants! Our participants are now back in their local contexts, translating their experiences into concrete follow-up actions, including workshops, campaigns, podcasts and educational activities, empowering others to make MIL a life competence for their futures.
