Melissa decided to spend her holiday in a uniquely meaningful way—by organizing an outing for children suffering from dementia. This activity reflects her deep commitment to her field,

especially considering her previous role involving children and adolescents at the University Hospital of Ulm's Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.

This day out was not only a chance to provide these young patients with a joyful experience but also an opportunity for Melissa to apply her extensive expertise in a practical, compassionate setting.

Her dedication to mental health and her ongoing research into the reversibility of trauma effects undoubtedly made the event both educational and emotionally enriching for everyone involved.

M.Sc. Melissa Hitzler

Melissa Hitzler studierte von 2011 – 2017 Psychologie an der Universität Ulm und an der Universität Leipzig. Von April 2016 bis September 2017 forschte sie am Max-Planck-Institut für Kognitions- und Neurowissenschaften, Leipzig an der Entwicklung kognitiver und sprachlicher Fähigkeiten bei Kleinkinder. Von August 2016 bis November 2017 war sie zudem Mitarbeiterin an der Klinik und Poliklinik für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie, Leipzig im Rahmen einer Studie zur Therapie komplizierter Trauer tätig. Während ihres Bachelorstudiums an der Universität Ulm war sie studentische Mitarbeiterin in der Forschungsabteilung der Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und Psychotherapie des Universitätsklinikums Ulm.

Seit November 2017 promoviert sie am Lehrstuhl für Klinische & Biologische Psychologie der Universität Ulm. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt dabei auf den biomolekularen Folgen von chronischem und traumatischem Stress und deren Reversibilität durch traumafokussierte Psychotherapie.

Announcing Invited World Congress Speaker Marije van der Lee

Prof. dr. Marije van der Lee works at the department of Medical and Clinical Psychology of Tilburg University. She also works as a clinician, (Healthcare psychologist) at the Helen Dowling Institute, where she is also head of the research department. The Helen Dowling Institute is top clinical center in mental health and oncology in the Netherlands. We work with a multidisciplinary research team in close collaboration with our patientcare department. Marije van der Lee is interested in the topic of providing personalized care. Therefore they do network analyses on experience sampling data and qualitative research. She has a lot of experience of doing research in clinical practice and implemented several eHealth therapies. For example for treating severe chronic cancer-related fatigue & fear of cancer recurrence. She hopes to reduce the gap between science and clinical practice with her research!

With the conclusion of the 2024 edition, the term of office for Prof. Dr. . as managing editor, as well as the tenure of Prof. Dr. -Tatjana and Prof. Dr. as co-editors of the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, will come to an end.

Applications are being sought for a managing editor position and two co-editor positions for the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy for the years 2025–2030.

Members of the are hereby invited to submit nominations or self-nominate. A commitment to open research practices and transparency in research by the future editors is explicitly desired. All nominations must be submitted by June 30, 2024 (deadline) to the secretary of the DGPs, Prof. Dr. -Lena ([email protected]).

The selection of the new editors will be made by the board of the DGPs, in consultation with the managing editor of the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy and the publisher.

Mit Ablauf des Jahrgangs 2024 endet turnusmäßig die Tätigkeit von Prof. Dr. . als geschäftsführender Herausgeber, sowie die Tätigkeit von Prof. Dr. -Tatjana und Prof. Dr. als Mitherausgeber_innen der Zeitschrift für Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie.

Ausgeschrieben werden eine geschäftsführende Herausgeberschaft und zwei Mitherausgeberschaften für die Zeitschrift für Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie für die Jahrgänge 2025 – 2030.

Die Mitglieder der sind hiermit aufgerufen, Vorschläge für Nominationen einzureichen oder sich selbst zu nominieren.
