I wrote this a couple years ago, and the sentiment still holds so true in my heart..
As Mothers we get one day a year - one day a year where we’re acknowledged, given the accolades and praises. One day.
But, every day is our day. Day in and day out we are mothers, there’s not a split second that will go by that motherhood pauses. From the minute of conception we go from maidens to mothers and oh, what a beautiful, powerful privilege it is.
We are so often caught up in the rush and the chaos, we forget to appreciate and love ourselves. We give them our bodies, our time, and our energy. Our minds are filled with a never ending to-do list, constant worries, a million thoughts and there’s no pause button.
So moms, I see you, we see you. The love, the thoughts, the care, the kindness, the strength, the power and the pure beauty that is you. You have created this little life, you have loved this little life and it doesn’t always come easily, but gosh it’s incredible.
To us - the mothers, the not-yet mothers, the grieving mothers, the should-be mothers, the solo mothers, the foster mothers, the stepmothers, the mothers who have left this earth, and those who have lost their mothers.
💕🌷✨🍃🫶🏻
You are the keepers of life, and the epitome of “divine feminine”. You truly deserve the world of gratitude and appreciation.
I also want to add that today I’m thinking of the mothers who are experiencing this day in the midst of conflict, grief or survival, where simply getting through the day is enough 🤍
