Celina Hermina Dennis aka “Ma Franco or Ms. Harmina” of Grand Bay, who resided at Trafalgar, Age: 82

The management and staff of the North Eastern Funeral Association of Dominica Ltd. extends condolences to the family and friends of the late Maria Alfred of Marigot. She was a member of the North Eastern Funeral Association of Dominica Ltd.
Her death announcement is published below:

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT:

We announce the death of Mrs Maria Alfred, aged 95 of Bay, Marigot who died on 25th June 2026.

She was predeceased by her husband Bowen Alfred.

She is survived and will be mourned by her six children Dr.Millicent Alfred, Merle Alfred-Po***ck, Bernard Alfred, Dr.Peter Alfred, Keith Alfred, and Gerry Alfred

She will also be mourned by her:

Grandchildren: Alica, Brandon and Kyle Po***ck; Earnard, Twhan, Chris, Dominique, Kezia, Keren, Nateefa, Denzil, Lebna, and Ozora Alfred, Predeceased by Alkinty Alfred

Great grandchildren: Kelis Thomas-Po***ck and Caleb Cousins; Saffiyah, Brandon Jr., Brea, and Arianna Po***ck; Raheem, Makyah, Gianna, Ariella, Uriel and Nasiya Alfred;

She was predeceased by her 5 siblings Mrs Henrietta Dalrymple, Susanna Joseph, Mrs Linda Burnette, Mrs Gertrude Jacob, and Daniel Joseph

Nieces and Nephews: Joanne Dalrymple, Sherman Mills, Errol Gordon, and Cedric Gordon and their families, Maureen, Vivian, Denham, Helen, Lennox, Eldon, Conrad, Joseph Burnette and their families, Sharon, Sheba, Esau, and Hiram Jacob, and their families.

She was predeceased by her nieces Dorothy, Paulette and June, her nephew Cyril Dalrymple, and by close relatives Cecil “Abbot” James and Clem Simon

Grand nieces and nephews: The children of Dorothy and Paulette, including Tyrone and Herma Frank; Negdra and Scones Robin.

She will also be remembered by her extended family;
The Matthew family on the Bay, the Alfred, Jacob and Doram families in Rose Hill
To include Byron Christmas, and Glenroy “Toto” Thomas and their families.

Also by the Modeste and Carlton families, Thomas family in Monkey Hill, Hamlet family in Weirs, Riviere family in North End, Blanc and Telemaque families in Dam, Guiste family from Sam's Gutter, and by the neighbours by The Bay; including the Abraham, Robin, Joseph, Winston, Andrew, Charles, Marcell, and James families, The Zion Methodist Congregation, The Marigot Community, The staff at Q95.

Other close family and friends too numerous to mention.

The family thanks Dr. Nasiro, the Marigot District Health Team, Vanessa , Roselia, Stacey, and Ms Joan for the care provided to her.

The funeral service will be held at the Zion Methodist Church in Marigot on 14th August 2026 at 2:00 pm; viewing begins at 1:30 pm, followed by interment at the Zion Methodist Cemetery.

We announce the death of Bernard Mark better known as 'Bennar' or 'Piesad' of Tete Morne, who resided at Grand Coulibrie, Grand Bay. He died on Thursday 30th July at 11:00am at his residence.

He leaves to mourn:

The body of the late Bernard Mark will be transported from the North Eastern funeral home for viewing at 2:30 p.m on Thursday 13th August, at the Grand Bay Pentecostal Church. Funeral Service begins at 3:00 p.m followed by internment at the Grand Bay Public Cemetery.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

We announce the death of Mrs Angela Paris nee Joseph better known as 'Tar' aged 91 of Crayfish River who resided at Bataca. She died at the Marigot hospital of July 3rd 2026.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Mr Wilmot Paris and her daughter Theresa Paris.

She is survived by 2 sons:
Vernon and Nurius Paris

9 grandchildren:
Ann Paris, Alex, Emmanuel and Morrison Elizee, Tommy, Cedric, Krishna, Merin and Nick Paris
