✨Meet Celine Moatassem✨

Celine is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University, after graduating with Highest Honors in Psychology from The American University in Cairo. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. She has also completed specialized neuroscience training in neural systems, brain networks, and neuropsychological integration.

With a background in counseling psychology, psychosocial support, and child development, she supports children and families through evidence-based, relationship-centered approaches, including DIRFloortime® 101 and DBT-informed practices, integrating neuroscience-informed understanding within her work.

She is passionate about identifying children’s strengths, supporting emotional wellbeing and developmental growth, and fostering meaningful, compassionate connections.

Amira graduated from The American University in Cairo and completed her Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies in Inclusive Education from the same university.

Over the past 7 years, she has worked as a remedial tutor and cognitive therapist, specializing in play-based approaches that support children’s learning, development, and emotional growth. She is also a DIRFloortime Basic-Provider and is currently completing the “Passion to Practice with Alma Care” training, focusing on integrating practical skills and psychological understanding into clinical and professional practice.

Amira currently works as an Accessibility specialist at The American University in Cairo and is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive, and meaningful experiences for children and their families 🧡
