The United Nations Humanitarian Service & Development (UNOHSD):

This is a humanitarian and development system operating within the framework of the United Nations. It is dedicated to promoting human dignity and well-being by providing essential services, responding to crises, and supporting sustainable development initiatives worldwide, particularly in the most vulnerable communities.

UNHDS does not limit itself to providing emergency aid. It operates with a holistic vision that integrates relief and development, striving to rescue people in their moments of vulnerability and empower them as they recover. It thus operates within an integrated approach that combines urgent humanitarian action—such as healthcare, food, and shelter—with long-term capacity building, including education, improved livelihoods, and enhanced governance.

The organization's work is based on fundamental humanitarian principles, most notably:

Neutrality: Providing assistance without discrimination or bias.

Humanity: Placing human beings and their dignity at the heart of every intervention.

Independence: Working according to the needs of communities, free from political influence.

Partnership: Collaborating with governments, civil society, and international organizations. It also keeps pace with the Sustainable Development Goals and contributes to achieving them through programs that address poverty, promote health, support education, protect the environment, and drive economic and social development.
