Today, during a Zoom session guiding Goddess Durga dance with my student, we spoke our intentions out loud…
In my prayer to Durga, I said I want to be a wild woman — in nature, fully expressed, untamed, rooted in my full sensual femininity and beauty.
And then I stopped myself.
Because in that moment, I saw it clearly —
I don’t need to ask for this anymore.
I’m already living it.
This winter I literally lived in caves…
My luxury was stone walls and a stone bed.
My shower — river and ocean.
Days filled with meditation, prayer, yoga, and cacao ceremonies.
Dressed in silks and essential oils from my own creation 🙏🏻🪷🥰
feeling like a true wild goddess and creatrix of my reality.
So the question shifted…
What do I ask Goddess Durga now?
As Navratri begins tomorrow, I’m sitting with this:
How do I embody this wild, free woman
not only there —
but also here…
In family homes.
In “domesticated” spaces.
Without losing her.
This is my contemplation.
