BREATHING
Breathing is not separate from movement.
It is part of the body’s biomechanics.
With every breath, the diaphragm, rib cage, abdominal wall, spine, and pelvis participate in a continuous movement. The diaphragm works together with the deep musculature of the trunk to regulate pressure and contribute to postural stability.
This has a direct relationship with the way we move and apply force.
When we hold our breath or create unnecessary tension, movement can become more rigid and localized. When breathing remains free, we can distribute force throughout the whole body more efficiently.
This is one of the principles we explore in Thai Massage Module 1 · The Art of Touch: developing body mechanics, posture, balance, and fluidity so that giving becomes more natural and effortless.
We explore how to connect movement and breath, cultivating strength and softness through awareness and alignment.
In Thai Massage, technique is not only about knowing where to place your hands.
It is about learning how to use the entire body as a connected system.
This is where biomechanics becomes touch. 🌿
