Call for Nominations: EAA Election Committee
Introduction
A credible and impartial Election Committee is essential to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections within the EAA. To uphold the integrity of our electoral process, we are seeking dedicated members to serve on the Election Committee for the next five years.
The election committee is required to manage and run the upcoming general assembly election and other leadership elections within EAA during their term.
Please complete this form to nominate a qualified individual (including self-nomination) for the EAA Election Committee. Nominations are open for five days. All information must be accurate and complete.
Nomination Criteria
Nominees must meet the following requirements:
• Active EAA membership for at least the last two years.
• Not employed by EAA (permanent or part-time).
• Willing to serve voluntarily for five years.
• Compliance with EAA general and executive election guidelines.
• Demonstrated integrity, impartiality, and commitment to transparency.
• Good standing within EAA with no disciplinary record.
Important Note:
Those elected to the Election Committee will not be eligible to stand as candidates in any level of EAA elections.
Who Can Nominate?
• Any EAA member in good standing may nominate a qualified individual (self-nominations are also accepted).
• One nominator can nominate only three candidates, as the number of election committee members is three.
Nomination Period:
Nominations are open from May 26 - 30/2026. It will be closed on May 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

📢 CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR OUR COLLEAGUE — MR. GIRMA ADUGNA DUGASSA

Dear Colleagues, Friends, and Compassionate Supporters,

Today, we humbly ask for your prayers, solidarity, and financial support for one of our respected colleagues, Mr. Girma Adugna Dugassa, a dedicated anesthetist who has faithfully served the people for more than 18 years.

Mr. Girma is currently working at Nekemte Comprehensive Specialized Hospital. He recently has been diagnosed with Advanced Colorectal Ca with liver metastasis. He has already started chemotherapy treatment at Wollega University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital. He is also exepcted to undergo major surgery after completing the chemotherapy.

Despite his condition, Girma remains strong and hopeful. He is also a father of three children. However, the financial burden of treatment has become overwhelming. Each cycle of chemotherapy costs more than 20,000 ETB, excluding additional expenses for investigations, medications, transportation, surgery, and family support.

At this difficult moment, we kindly ask all healthcare professionals, friends, institutions, and humanitarian supporters to stand beside him through:
