👉A Health Management Information System (HMIS) is a standardized system used to collect, record, compile, analyze, report, and use health data for evidence-based planning, monitoring, quality improvement, and decision-making.
👉High-quality HMIS data are essential for measuring service performance, monitoring health outcomes, allocating resources, and reporting to higher health authorities.
👉To improve data quality and strengthen routine health information management, a comprehensive HMIS training was conducted for hospital staff working in all service delivery units.
👉The training focused on improving participants' knowledge and practical skills in recording patient information accurately, ensuring complete registration, correctly utilizing tally sheets, and reporting HMIS indicators according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Health guidelines.
Objective
