The HPV Screen & Treat Programme has started today.
Cervical cancer is preventable, and catching pre-cancerous changes early saves lives.
The Ministry of Health & Medical Services (Family Health Unit) is launching the HPV Screen and Treat Programme across the Western Division, bringing quick, private screening directly to women aged 30 to 59 years.
Using a simple self-sampling method you perform in complete privacy, this new approach provides same-day results and eligible treatment in a single visit, eliminating long waiting times and extra clinic trips.
Screening has started in Lautoka on today at Vidilo House and Nadi on Wednesday, September 9 (Black Rock Health Centre), with additional subdivisions rolling out shortly after. You do not need to wait for symptoms to appear to take action.
We call on husbands, families, faith leaders, and workplaces to support the women in their lives to participate.
Where to Get Screened First:
* Lautoka: Start Monday, Sept 7th at Vidilo House
* Nadi: Starts Wednesday, Sept 9th at Black Rock Health Centre
Share this message and encourage your mothers, sisters, wives, and friends aged 30–59 to get screened!
