Have you ever thought about joining a choir but felt a little nervous?

Maybe you think you can’t sing, you’re worried you’ll be the worst one there, or you simply don’t know what to expect…

Please don’t let those fears stop you from giving it a go. 🩷

At HeartSong Normandie, we welcome complete beginners alongside those who have been singing for years. There are no auditions, no need to read music, and absolutely no expectation that you have to be “good” at singing. Everything is taught by ear, step by step, and you’ll be supported all the way.

And you won’t be doing it alone! 🎵
Our lovely current members are there to welcome and encourage new singers, and we’ll make sure you feel comfortable, supported and part of the group from the very first session.

🍇🌺🫚 Grape, hibiscus and ginger juice ready to be added to water kefir or for flavouring herbal teas and water.

Delicious! 😋

🍇🌺🫚Grape, Hibiscus & Ginger Juice - no added sugar!

If you’ve got a glut of grapes, or simply fancy trying something a little different, this is such an easy way to use them up.

I made mine using:

🍇 Grapes - however many you have
🌺 Dried hibiscus - roughly 1 tbsp hibiscus to 500g grapes
🫚 Fresh ginger - around a thumb-sized piece per 500g grapes, but adjust to taste

I gently simmered the grapes with the ginger for about 10-15 minutes, while separately making a strong hibiscus tea by pouring boiling water over the dried hibiscus and leaving it to steep for 5-10 minutes. I then strained both and mixed them together.

There’s no added sugar - just the natural sweetness from the grapes. 🍇

It makes a lovely sweet, tart and slightly spicy juice that you can:

✨ Add to water kefir after fermentation
✨ Mix into herbal teas
✨ Dilute with cold or sparkling water
✨ Use in iced drinks and homemade spritzes

And there are some potential benefits too - grapes and hibiscus contain polyphenols, while ginger is traditionally used to support digestion.

The best bit is that you don’t need exact measurements. Just play around with the balance until it tastes right for you. More hibiscus for tang, more ginger for a kick, or more grape for sweetness. ❤️

🍇🌺🫚 Jus de raisin, hibiscus & gingembre, prêt à être ajouté au kéfir d’eau ou à parfumer les tisanes et l’eau.
Délicieux ! 😋

🍇🌺🫚 Jus de raisin, hibiscus & gingembre – sans sucre ajouté !

Si vous avez une belle abondance de raisins, ou simplement envie d’essayer quelque chose d’un peu différent, voici une façon très simple de les utiliser.

J’ai utilisé :
🍇 Raisins – quelle que soit la quantité dont vous disposez
🌺 Hibiscus séché – environ 1 cuillère à soupe pour 500 g de raisins
🫚 Gingembre frais – environ un morceau de la taille du pouce pour 500 g de raisins, à ajuster selon vos goûts

J’ai fait mijoter doucement les raisins avec le gingembre pendant environ 10 à 15 minutes. Pendant ce temps, j’ai préparé une infusion d’hibiscus bien concentrée en versant de l’eau bouillante sur l’hibiscus séché, puis en laissant infuser pendant 5 à 10 minutes.
J’ai ensuite filtré les deux préparations et je les ai mélangées.
Il n’y a aucun sucre ajouté – uniquement le sucre naturellement présent dans les raisins.

Cela donne un délicieux jus à la fois doux, acidulé et légèrement épicé, que vous pouvez :

✨ Ajouter au kéfir d’eau après la fermentation
✨ Mélanger à vos tisanes
✨ Diluer avec de l’eau fraîche ou pétillante
✨ Utiliser dans des boissons glacées ou des spritz maison

Et il y a aussi quelques bienfaits potentiels : le raisin et l’hibiscus contiennent des polyphénols, tandis que le gingembre est traditionnellement utilisé pour favoriser une bonne digestion.

Le plus chouette, c’est que vous n’avez pas besoin de mesures précises. Amusez-vous simplement à ajuster les proportions jusqu’à obtenir l’équilibre qui vous plaît. Plus d’hibiscus pour davantage d’acidité, plus de gingembre pour une touche relevée, ou plus de raisin pour plus de douceur. ❤️

Facing fears, being brave, giving it some welly and sounding fabulous. It’s a wonderful thing to join together with others and sing. So good for the heart and soul. And if you ever have that little voice that says you can’t/shouldn’t sing - politely tell it to naff off and go for it! ✨🩷🎵
