Magnificent Munchers

Magnificent Munchers We help children with ARFID, and those who are fussy and picky eaters to feel comfortable around food. Groups take place in St Albans and Welwyn Garden City.

Jacqueline Parkinson’s Magnificent Munchers specialises in helping children increase their food range by making food fun and working at each child's pace. The team consists of an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, two Therapy Assistants and a Dietician. We will work with children with a variety of conditions including ARFID

We offer individual and group intervention depending

on the child's need and age. Zoom sessions
Jacqueline offers zoom therapy sessions to children over 8. Following a FREE 15 meet and greet weekly sessions take place over zoom with Jacqueline and the child having the same foods each end of the zoom. We will help fussy eaters to enjoy a full range of foods and eat happily with the family at home

Individual Sessions
Following a meal time assessment sessions take place at home at a time when your child is peckish. After school sessions available

Group Sessions
These run over a school term on a Saturday and Tuesday and are suitable for children at primary school.

What a way to finish! 👏

This was this young man’s final session, and he achieved the goal he set for himself – eating mashed potato! 🥔

Along the way, he also expanded his diet to include vegetables, meats and sauces. From avoiding sauces to happily eating pasta with cheese sauce and tomato sauce, his progress has been incredible🍝

He had every reason to be proud of everything he achieved, and so are we! 🌟

We’re so excited for Mini Munchers to return this September! 🥣✨

Our 6-week programme is designed for toddlers aged 2–4 and is led by an Occupational Therapist and Therapy Assistant.

Through fun, sensory food play, children are encouraged to explore new foods at their own pace, while parents learn practical strategies to help introduce new tastes and textures using the Steps to Eating approach😊
