This morning was the first morning for about three weeks I've woken up feeling 'normal' π₯³
As some people know, back in 2017 after an intense period of emotional trauma, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and PTSD.
I went through years of 'crashes' triggered by stress, and at my worst, I'd sleep solidly for up to 23hrs, and couldn't do basics tasks like showering!
After retiring from the police and moving back to Aberystwyth, my symptoms got much less severe, and the crashes less frequent π
(There are many other effects of CFS including chronic pain and IBS symptoms.)
About four weeks ago, those symptoms started to rear their ugly heads again, but I thought/hoped it was something else like iron or B12 deficiency, sadly not.
I've struggled through the last few weeks, but thankfully, after long periods of rest this week, AND a wonderful physio/acupuncture session with my lovely cousin (in-law) yesterday, I think I'm out the other side π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³

Causes and Diagnosis
Unknown cause: Doctors do not know the exact cause. It often starts after a viral infection or severe stress.
No simple test: Doctors diagnose it by checking your medical history and ruling out other illnesses like thyroid problems or anemia.
Management: Treatment focuses on easing specific symptoms and learning to balance energy to avoid crashes.
