One whole year of Flow 🤍
It started as a dream. One that felt like it was for my future, not my now. Then the opportunity came, much earlier than I ever expected. And if I’m honest, I don’t know if I would have taken that leap without my dad, my sister, Anne, Aidan and Alan. They made me believe this was possible. They held a vision for me that I wasn’t quite ready to hold for myself. They reminded me that I could do anything. Seeing how much they believed in me, made me believe in myself.
At the time, it didn’t feel like the right time. I was about to go to India for the whole of March, and I knew I’d be picking up the keys the day after I got home. But I did it anyway.
I got the keys on 1st April 2025 and gave myself 22 days to turn an empty office space into what is now Flow. With the help of friends and family who I’m forever grateful for.
Why the 22nd?
Because that is my mum’s birthday. This studio was created in her honour. Losing my mum to su***de changed everything for me. It shaped the path I walk, the work I do, and the space I hold. From that pain, I made a promise to myself that I would spend my life supporting others with their mental health. Flow exists because of her. Always.
And now, here we are. One whole year later. A year that changed my life. A year I stepped away from social work to follow my heart. A year that brought me closer to myself, to peace, to happiness. A year filled with the most incredible people who walk through those doors and share their energy with me. And a year of the most amazing teachers who help make this space what it is.
I am forever grateful for this journey and I truly cannot wait to see where we are this time next year 🤍
