Meet the members ❤️

Meet David from the 9.30am group

David joined my 9.30 Almondbury group on the 25th June 2024 and by 15th April 2025 he had lost 2st 1lb achieving his Target weight

David is now a Diamond 💎 Target member having kept it off for over 12 months

This September David turns 85 and part of his birthday wish he wanted to walk 85 miles in aid of his charity set up for his son Christopher (see below )

David has already achieved this goal, a month ahead of time, but vows to continue walking and has raised in excess of £500 (and it’s still rising👍)

We are all so proud of David and all his achievements
We wish him all the best on the remainder of his fund raising


Slimming World

Christopher Horn was an exceptionally talented trumpet player

During his relatively short career, he played with groups such as the London Sinfonietta, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia

Up until the time of his death Chris had been working as guest principal trumpet with The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
Chris's passion for music was heightened during two formative years as principal trumpet with The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain
During his time with the orchestra, Chris co-founded a chamber ensemble - Onyx Brass

Chris made many friends whilst studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at the Royal Academy of music, and whilst playing in the European Union Youth Orchestra, Onyx Brass and the many other professional ensembles

Summer can sometimes feel like a time when routines go out of the window ☀️❤️
Between holidays, meals out, BBQs and busy weekends, it can feel harder to stay focused

A few things that really help me are:

Planning ahead where I can
Keeping easy meal ideas available
Avoiding skipping meals
Enjoying occasions without guilt
Remembering that one meal never ruins progress if you stay on track

Healthy habits aren't about being perfect, they're about finding something that works in real life 🙌
