During Dementia Action Week, we’re reflecting on the many families we’ve had the privilege to support who have experienced the heartbreak of dementia.
Behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of memories, stories, humour, and love — and behind them is often a family doing their very best through incredibly difficult circumstances.

We know that grief connected to dementia can begin long before a goodbye, and for many people, the journey can feel exhausting, emotional, and isolating. As funeral directors, it’s an honour to help families celebrate the life and personality of someone so deeply loved, while offering care and understanding when it’s needed most.

This week is a reminder to show patience, kindness, and compassion to those living with dementia and to the people caring for them every day. With support from organisations like Alzheimer's Society and Dementia UK, no one has to face it alone.
