A warm and welcoming care home in Ashtead, now proudly part of the Aurem Care family.

Personalised care, heartfelt support, and a true sense of home. 💛 This large late Victorian House is set amidst mature trees and shrubs and situated in a highly favoured residential area, yet only a few minutes walk from a wide range of local amenities. We are acutely aware of just how daunting the prospect of a move to a Care Home can be to a person who has previously led a full and independent l

ife. With this in mind, our aim is to ensure that each person is cared for in a manner to promote as much independence as possible with the appropriate support measures in place. Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day and each member of our dedicated, caring team benefit from their own ongoing training programme that exceeds current Care Quality Commission standards. All staff are carefully selected and we will only recruit those who demonstrate the skills and commitment necessary to meet the needs of our residents in a friendly and caring manner.

🌸 Blooming Creativity at The Red House 🌸

Over the summer, our residents enjoyed a wonderful flower pressing project, making the most of the beautiful blooms from our garden.

Together, we carefully collected flowers, pressed and dried them between books, and transformed them into beautiful pieces of flower art. The activity sparked plenty of conversation, with residents sharing gardening tips, treasured memories, and stories from years gone by.

It was a lovely way to bring people together, encourage creativity, and celebrate the beauty of nature right on our doorstep. 🌿💐

☀️🌻 A Wonderful Summer Garden Party at The Red House! 🌻☀️

Residents, relatives, colleagues, volunteers and friends of The Red House came together for our annual Summer Garden Party, creating a fantastic day filled with laughter, friendship and community spirit. 🎉

Guests enjoyed a delicious Ploughman's lunch and an irresistible selection of homemade desserts prepared by our talented chef, Helen, alongside refreshing drinks and a traditional garden party favourite... Pimm's! 🍓🍹

The afternoon was made even more special by live entertainment from crowd favourite Billy Fox, who kept everyone smiling, singing and dancing in the sunshine. 🎶💃

A huge thank you to our dedicated team who worked incredibly hard to decorate the garden, prepare the food and host such a memorable event. It was wonderful to see residents and their loved ones enjoying time together, sharing stories and making new memories.

As one resident said: "It was a perfect day, it couldn't have been better." ❤️

🍽️ Making Every Mealtime Enjoyable at The Red House 💜

At The Red House Care Home, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy delicious, nutritious meals, regardless of their individual dietary needs.

Our talented kitchen team takes great care in preparing modified texture meals that are not only safe and tailored to residents' needs but are also thoughtfully presented to look as appetising as possible. By shaping and plating meals with care, we help maintain dignity, encourage independence, and ensure that mealtimes remain an enjoyable experience for all.

🍫 World Chocolate Day at The Red House! 🍫

What better way to celebrate World Chocolate Day than with plenty of chocolate-themed fun! 😋

Earlier in the month, our residents put their thinking caps on with a chocolate-themed word search before enjoying a delicious chocolate fountain experience, which was a real treat for everyone.

There were lots of smiles, laughter and, of course, plenty of chocolatey indulgence along the way! 🍓🍫

A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all at The Red House. ❤️

🎾 Wimbledon Fever at The Red House! 🎾

Our residents have been embracing the Wimbledon spirit this last month, full of fun, laughter and a little friendly competition!

We enjoyed an energetic game of balloon tennis using a makeshift net, which had everyone smiling and sharing plenty of laughs. Residents also got creative with some tennis-themed colouring, while our Wimbledon word challenge put minds to the test. One impressive resident managed to find an incredible 51 words from the word "Wimbledon"!

The championships have also sparked many wonderful conversations and memories. As keen tennis fans, many of our residents fondly reminisced about watching Wimbledon over the years and shared their favourite moments from the tournament.

A fantastic way to celebrate a much-loved British sporting tradition! 🎾💚

🌈✨ Celebrating Pride at The Red House! ✨🌈

We had a fantastic Pride party, filled with colour, joy and plenty of wonderful moments 💖

Our home was beautifully decorated with rainbow-themed displays, and we were delighted to welcome the talented Kate Parker, who treated everyone to a brilliant performance. From George Michael to, of course, QUEEN, her songs had everyone smiling and singing along as we celebrated love in all its forms 🎶

A special mention to our chef, Helen, who created a stunning rainbow cake for the occasion – and it went down an absolute treat! 🌈🍰

It was a truly uplifting day, full of music, laughter and celebration 🌟

🐄🌿 A wonderful day out at Bocketts Farm! 🐑☀️

Recently, some of our residents from The Red House Care Home in Ashtead enjoyed a lovely trip to Bocketts Farm – and what a fantastic day it was!

Joined by one of our resident’s wives and members of our team, the group spent time exploring the farm, meeting the animals and soaking up the fresh countryside air. From friendly farmyard animals to the sights and sounds of rural life, there was plenty to see, talk about and enjoy together 🐐🐓

It was a truly special outing, filled with smiles, laughter and meaningful moments. Trips like these are a wonderful way to reminisce, spark conversation and create new memories together – all whilst enjoying the great outdoors 🌼

A big thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable – we’re already looking forward to our next adventure!
