Byrchall new Year 7’s…
Day 1, Roots & Wings…
Meet and greet… intro to the equipment… make choices on the events of the day… fire lighting… make more choices (pancakes; chocolate or plain/garlic bread/ chive bread)… work together to reach common goals (catch fish)… take care of the fish together… name them 🫶… release them… archery… and free exploration and play. A wonderful start in getting to know one another 🤩

Byrchall new Year 7s programme starts tomorrow for three days and there's still a few places left. 10am-4pm each day. Lots to experience. Share like crazy 🙃😝🤪🙃

Here's more about our 3-day woodland adventure programme for those starting high school in Ashton this September.

What to Expect:

Our experienced Forest School and Outdoor leaders create a safe, supportive environment where children can take positive risks, try new things, and celebrate their achievements.

Who Is It For?
Roots & Wings is designed for young people who will be starting secondary school in September 2026. Whether they are excited, nervous, shy, adventurous, or somewhere in between, this programme offers a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the next chapter while having fun outdoors.

⏰ Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm each day

Over three unforgettable days in our beautiful woodland, children will:

Here at Wise Oak Forest School, we have teamed up with the Nomad Rangers so that by the end of the programme, they'll leave with new skills, new friendships and the confidence to spread their wings this September.
