A Wonderful Evening of Welcome ❤️

Tonight we held a lovely get-together for our residents and their families, giving everyone the opportunity to properly meet and welcome our new owners, Lionel and Pioshy Marcelline.

Lionel and Pioshy are both delighted to be here and are very excited to begin this new adventure at The Manor. They are committed to ensuring that The Manor continues to maintain the high standards our residents deserve, while providing a warm, caring and happy home for everyone. ❤️

We were also delighted to welcome Michael Goodwin, Aylsham Town Councillor, and his wife Veronika, along with The Reverend Canon Julie Boyd, Rector for the Aylsham and District Team Ministry, serving 17 parishes north of Norwich. Julie was ordained at Norwich Cathedral in 2012.

To make the evening even more special, we were treated to some beautiful violin music 🎻 from the grandson of one of our respite residents. It was a wonderful surprise and something everyone thoroughly enjoyed. ❤️

It was a truly wonderful evening, bringing residents, families, staff and friends together to warmly welcome Mr and Mrs Marcelline to The Manor. 🥂

A huge thank you must also go to our fantastic cooks, Kirsti and Ian, who put on an amazing spread for everyone. It certainly went down very well! 😋👏

🌺 A Morning of Memories – The Land Army 🌺

We had a lovely morning learning all about the Women’s Land Army during the Second World War. 🇬🇧🌾
We were especially lucky to have our very own Land Girl, Winnie, with us, who shared some wonderful memories of her time serving the country. It was fascinating to hear her stories and learn about her experiences. ❤️
We also had some wonderful photographs to look through, which brought the history to life and gave everyone plenty to talk about.
A truly special morning filled with memories, history and lots of interest. Thank you, Winnie, for sharing your wonderful memories with us. ❤️🌷

🌸 We had such a lovely morning with Crystal from the Aylsham Flower Club today. 🌼

Crystal very kindly gave us a wonderful flower arranging demonstration, and we all watched in awe as she effortlessly created the most beautiful floral arrangements. It was fascinating to see her talent and creativity come to life, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

To make the morning even more special, one of our lovely ladies, Kathie, had her name picked from a vase and was delighted to win a gorgeous bouquet. What a lovely surprise! 💐

🎹 We'd like to give a warm welcome to our newest resident, Sandy, who joined us this week. ❤️
Sandy has already been keeping us all wonderfully entertained with his incredible musical talent. He spent an amazing 30 years playing the organ and piano at his church, and it has been such a pleasure listening to him share his gift with us. 🎵🎶

Today we tried our hand at making beautiful greetings cards using paper drinking straws and delicate dried flowers. 🌸💐
The results were simply lovely, with each card as unique as the person who created it.
