Hello lovelies🥰
I hope you’ve all had a beautiful weekend. Mine was definitely a strenuous one… but also one of the most breathtaking and peaceful Sundays I’ve had in a long time. After finishing work on Saturday, we decided to take a little trip up north and stay overnight at Glen Kinglas to switch off for the rest of the weekend.
It was an early rise yesterday morning, as we decided to go and hike Beinn Ime, one of our magnificent Munro’s standing at 3,317ft ooft! But it was so worth every aching muscle I’m feeling today! We made it to the top for around 8am, nice and early before anyone else arrived, and were greeted with clear blue skies and stunning views.
Sitting up there enjoying the morning sunshine with a well deserved coffee in hand, surrounded by the peaks of the Arrochar Alps and beyond, listening to nothing but complete silence…it was pure tranquility and the views were just stunning.
My legs are in tatters and I’m absolutely feeling the damage today 😅 but it’s a good kind of pain, reminding me I’m keeping the body strong..as well as nurturing the mind and soul.
It’s been about two years since I’ve done a hike like that, but after easing myself back into it, I think I might’ve caught the bug again 🗻
It was the best way to recharge for the week ahead, and I hope you all managed to take a little bit of time for yourselves at the weekend too. I’m already looking forward to the next challenge 😁
Jo❤️
