David Smith - MHFA Instructor I am an instructor member of Mental Health First Aid England with over 5 years of delivery experience

I am an instructor member for Mental Health First Aid England. I am currently a registered Mental Health First Aid Trainer with MHFA England and deliver the full Adult MHFA 2 day course and the MHFA Refresher Course. I gained a passion for Mental Health having seen first hand the impact that having the right support in place can have on individuals. Whilst supporting organisations and individuals

with training and consultancy, I have also volunteered for SHOUT mental health crisis line and gained invaluable experience. I have trained in excess of 300 members of staff across a variety of settings including NHS organisations. Over the last 5 years I have been able to support organisational change and an increase in mental health literacy across a number of organisations. I also work as a Senior Lecturer at a local university and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
