🤎 A space that feels like hers, and grows with her too.
Designing for teens means more than just picking a colour scheme—it’s about creating a room that can adapt to who they’re becoming.
For this 14-year-old ocean-lover, we were asked to design a calm, coastal-inspired bedroom that felt grown-up but not too grown-up… timeless, but still personal. It also had to be highly functional, with study and self-care in mind.
Here’s how we approached it:
✨ A soft coastal palette layered with natural textures for a relaxed, lasting aesthetic
📚 A bespoke desk and vanity zone for both homework and wind-down time
🧺 Clever, considered storage to reduce mess (and arguments)
🌊 Subtle nods to the sea through artwork and details—never theme-heavy
The result? A beautiful, flexible sanctuary that will grow with her—while still reflecting the things she loves right now.
🗨️ Our client said:
“There were a lot of varying priorities, and I felt they were all given equal importance. The end result is a grown-up sanctuary space for my daughter—we are thrilled with the room!”
