We are delighted to be supporting Dunstable Town Council with their Peace, Love & Rock 'n' Roll Big Lunch! ✌️💙🎸

Opportunities to come together, make new connections, catch up with familiar faces, and simply enjoy good company are so important.

We can't wait to see everyone enjoying what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of music, laughter and community spirit! 😊🎶✨

🎶 A huge thank you to Good Life Sorted for sponsoring our Peace, Love & Rock and Roll Big Lunch on Tuesday 16 June in Grove House Gardens.

Their generous support has funded the live entertainment for the day, helping us bring The Wilson Show and George Wilson to Dunstable for an afternoon of music, dancing and community spirit.

Community events like this are made possible through partnerships with organisation's that share our commitment to bringing people together, and we're incredibly grateful for their support.

We look forward to welcoming everyone signed up to the event for an afternoon of great entertainment, afternoon tea and good company.

Did you know?

The timing of your medication can make a bigger difference than most people realise - some medicines work best with food, others on an empty stomach, so getting it right helps them work exactly as they should.

Here are 3 simple ways to stay on track:

Make it visible: Keep your medication somewhere you’ll naturally see it during the day.

Pair it with a habit: Link it to something you already do, like breakfast or brushing your teeth.

Ask for support: A Good Life Sorted helper can offer gentle reminders during visits so you never miss a dose.

A little structure goes a long way in helping you stay well and feel confident in your routine.

🌞 Hot Weekend Ahead – Stay Hydrated 🌞

With temperatures rising this weekend, it’s more important than ever to stay hydrated. Older adults can become dehydrated quickly, especially in warm weather, so keep a drink close by throughout the day and sip regularly. Water, squash, tea, whatever you enjoy, it all helps.

If you’re heading out to enjoy the sunshine, remember that finding a toilet in time can sometimes be a worry. Restricted access, long queues, or places that require a purchase can make outings stressful when they shouldn’t be.

To help make days out easier and more confident, you can order a free Vivactive Toilet Card from Age UK Milton Keynes. It’s a discreet, full‑size card that lets you request access to staff toilets when needed. The card itself is free – you only pay for delivery.

A small thing that can make a big difference to feeling relaxed and independent when you’re out and about.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy the sunshine this weekend...and if things feel a bit harder in the heat, or you are worried about someone, Good Life Sorted are happy to help.

A huge congratulations to our good friends at FLAG Bedford on being named one of Bedford Borough Council’s Charities of the Year 💛

They do such incredible work supporting adults with disabilities and their families across Bedford, and it’s brilliant to see them recognised in this way.

FLAG Bedford run regular groups on a Thursday at Priory Methodist Church in Bedford, and activities that bring people together, build confidence, and create a real sense of community.

A really well-deserved moment, and we're excited to see what the year ahead brings for them 💖👏

Bedford Borough Council’s Charity of the Year! 🎉

This means so much to FLAG and to the future of our group. Being recognised in this way is a huge opportunity for us to continue supporting adults with disabilities and their families within our community. 💛

Some of you may already have met Councillor Tim Caswell at our Coffee & Cake fundraising mornings at Priory Methodist Church. We would like to say a huge thank you to Tim for choosing FLAG and for his support.

We are really looking forward to working together over the coming year and raising awareness of the work FLAG does within Bedford Borough.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support FLAG — we couldn’t do it without you! 💙
