It’s insane we are in May already but did someone say “bank holiday weekend”? 👀

After trying to paint a ceiling this week and turning myself into the Michelin Man, I am heading to a friend’s Hen Party in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Not sure if it’s the same one your Da sells but apparently a well known fact about this place is that Shakespeare was from here. More importantly, and something only brought to my attention last night, it is also where The Teletubbies are from! However due to ongoing trespassing, the owner of the famous landscape flooded it. Maybe this is what my swimming lessons have all been for?
So I’m away in the wee Aer lingus tin can plane that fits about 20 people and has the engine of a fiat 500. Thankfully the good weather has lasted so no strong winds will be sending us off course to Scotland.*touchwood*
Looking forward to catching up with the Gals, the Bard and hopefully not getting barred in the process.

Happy Sunny Friday everyone 😎
A very relaxed FTF as we are up in Galgorm spa for some TLC. Now, I have never been to Rehab, but with everyone here walking around the gardens dressed in big brown dressing gowns and flip-flops, I’m beginning to see why so many celebrities check in.
After what feels like a century, I finally finished my module assignment and have managed to travel back in time to 10 years ago where I am worrying about TurnitIn. But it’s in the Lord’s hands now so I’m taking a step back and considering myself on my summer holidays- even though I’m a working professional.
So still seeing patients but hopefully seeing some factor 50 as well.

.F.R.E.E. .T.I.M.E. .F.R.I.D.A.Y.

First post in 2026 and I have went back in time 10 years, sitting in the Ulster University library after a night out. Everything changes but stays the same 😅 Thankfully I don’t have to head back to a slug invested Holyland’s house. And I drink Chai lattes now so I’m full of notions.
I’ve been quiet on social media due to being busy at work as well as spending time trying to get my assignment written for the Rheumatology module. So last night we enjoyed ourselves in the old Belfast Telegraph building watching Of Monsters and Men, an Icelandic indie rock band. Not to be confused with Of Mice and Men, every English GCSE student’s lesson in “Red means Danger”. But they also mentioned rabbits.
And with the Sun finally appearing today for the first time this year, it felt like a good time to post so people don’t think I’ve died. I try to get back to messages within a few hours so if you’ve any queries or need some advice then please get in touch.
It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow so make sure to show yourself and others some love. I’m getting Conan groomed so I’ll be showing the groomers some love by bribing them to use Veet on him. It hasn’t worked yet but when they mistake him for Cousin IT, they might agree.

Happy New Year!

I know it’s a sign I’m getting older but 2025 seems to have absolutely flew in. If you had told me at the start of this year that I would run a half marathon or drive an absolute unit of a car through New York State, I wouldn’t have believed you. Mixed in with getting two new nephews and it’s been a busy year!
I didn’t plan on finishing off 2025 with a torn calf muscle but it’s the type of risks athletes like myself are exposed to. Thankfully I’m in the right profession to receive some TLC (aka get shouted at for not resting)

We have some exciting adventures coming up in 2026 but I’m beginning the year by starting a Rheumatology Masters Module with Ulster University. Why? Because ongoing education is a socially acceptable form of self hate 😅
But don’t worry, there’s a couple of sneaky trips in the mix as well so it’s definitely not all work and no play for this gal.
In the meantime, our biggest concern tonight is trying to decide which terrible TV show to stick on for the countdown. The correct answer: flicking through all the channels until you end up on the Fr. Ted Christmas special.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Hopefully Santa was good to you all and that you’ve enough Rennie’s to see you through to the New Year. I had planned to post earlier but I burnt my two thumbs last night when I was rolling my Yule logs straight out of the oven.
The good news is that I will leave no finger prints at any crime scene now as I’ve burnt them off.
The even better news is that when I cut into it, the swirl remained so the pain was worth it for the glory.
I shall be applying for Bake Off 2026 and doing imitation brand Colin the Caterpillar cakes by next week . Everybody is going to love Louise the Leech. Available at a store not near you.
Until then, eat, drink and be merry. Look after yourselves and each other.
