A new batch of caterpillars have arrived and so have some new resources 🥹🦋🐛
Over the moon with our new inclusive Peppa books, including ‘Hearing Test’ which includes a story signed video and visual story boards. This has been a perfect addition to our afternoon story times based around our Celebrating NHS theme.
Here are some of our topic books around inclusion for this summer, featuring Grandads Pride, Coming to England and our NHS celebration books- Carters CT Scan, Martins MRI, Andy’s X-Ray and Una’s Ultrasound.

Promoting inclusion and engaging the children’s own experiences and learning opportunities is always a priority for me. As well as our Celebrating the NHS Roleplay, we also have a display of some of our children’s own experiences with NHS services. As my families are already aware, I care for a super special and unique little boy who has spent/does still spend a rather large chunk of his time with NHS specialists. This end of term theme is to celebrate our differences and promote inclusion for all of our children and grown ups. It is a brilliant opportunity for each child to share and explore each others experiences and learn more about keeping eachother safe and how to care for one another❤️

The children have been exploring the lifecycle of a butterfly recently linked to this terms focus book- The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Along with our play trays, we have been closely watching our very own caterpillars as they move through each cycle of their life until we release them🦋🐛
The children enjoyed the caterpillars so much we have more coming to expand and continue this learning journey further🦋🐛
