What a wonderful afternoon we had at A&K Community Hub for their monthly afternoon tea party! 🥰 It’s always extra special when family members can join us and share these lovely moments together.

We enjoyed delicious sandwiches, cakes, plenty of tea and even a Guinness or two! 🍰☕🍺 And, of course, there was lots of dancing and plenty of smiles. 💃🕺

Thank you to everyone at A&K Community Hub for another fantastic afternoon! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a fantastic success — to all our amazing volunteers, everyone who baked, donated, helped behind the scenes and came along to support us.

We’re so grateful for your kindness and generosity. It really was a wonderful afternoon, and we couldn’t have done it without you! 💕🌞

A huge thank you to everyone for your amazing and generous donations for our Summer Fair! 💕 Your support means so much to us and will make a real difference to our Residents’ Comfort Fund.

Another wonderful bus trip - this time to Hadlow Station in Willaston.
They opened up the ticket office for us and the sun was shining whilst we had a very delicious lunch outside on the station platform. Thank you to Michelle and Pam for coming along too and of course our fab bus driver 🌞☕️🚎

We had our monthly church service this morning and we all sang our favourite hymns. It’s amazing watching them remember the words and see how meaningful it is. Music is so powerful.

Today we celebrated Joan’s birthday and we had a wonderful tea-tasting session. Joan used to do tea-tasting when she worked for Typhoo so we had someone very experienced to help us decide… Sticky toffee pudding, Victoria sponge and Cherry Bakewell to help wash down banana loaf as well as delicious birthday cake 🎂

The Cosmos flowers were picked from our garden that we grew from seed 🌸🌸🌸

Wonderful PE session again this morning with Duncan Hendry before the temperature got too hot. It’s great watching them all take part and enjoy themselves.

This afternoon we sat in the lovely air conditioning in the main lounge where they enjoyed watching an episode from the BBC proms - National Youth Orchestra at the Albert Hall. The residents clapped at the end of one of their performances and said how wonderful it was 🎻🪉🎼

We had a wonderful cultural music session this morning where we listened to well known songs from around the world like Mexico, Italy, Australia, Greece and Austria. They enjoyed the songs shaking their tambourines, maracas and bells. Thanks to all the family members who also joined in 🪇🎶
This afternoon was our gentlemen’s club (mainly men) where they stayed very engaged watching an old film enjoying a cold beer - can you guess what it was?? 😱🤣🥰
