What a fantastic few days welcoming some very special new faces to the Visiting Angels Birmingham North family! 💙👼🏼

These ladies are some of my old carers who have followed me over from my previous company, and it means so much to have them joining us on this next chapter. 🥰

They’ve now completed their 3-day Visiting Angels Academy, getting stuck into everything from our mission and values to what it truly means to deliver quality care at home.

And of course, no academy would be complete without plenty of fun, laughter, giggles and pizza! 😂🍕

They’re joining an already incredible team of carers, and I know they’re going to be a fantastic addition. I’m so excited to see what we can achieve together! 💙

🎬✨ Working in Partnership with Macc Sutton Rose! ✨🎬

What a fantastic Wednesday we had, bringing everyone together for a special cinema trip to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! 🚗💫

For us, it’s about so much more than simply going to the cinema. It’s about getting people out of the house, encouraging social interaction, building confidence and creating opportunities to enjoy experiences together. ❤️

We wanted to give everyone the real cinema experience — choosing their own snacks, enjoying plenty of popcorn 🍿🥤 and settling down together to enjoy this much-loved classic.

Days like this can make such a difference, providing opportunities to meet others, make connections, try something different and, most importantly, have fun and make memories. 🥰

We’re incredibly proud to be working in partnership with Macc Sutton Rose to create meaningful experiences and help people feel connected within their community.

And now we’re looking for our next fantastic team member to join us!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and experienced Care Trainer to join our growing team on a FULL-TIME basis.

This is a varied role combining care training, recruitment and new starter onboarding, helping us recruit, develop and support outstanding care professionals.

🩺 We’re looking for experience in:

• Medication 💊
• Moving & Handling
• Safeguarding
• Health & Safety
• Other core care training and competencies

Ideally, you’ll hold a Train the Trainer qualification, or be willing to undertake the qualification as part of the role.

👥 Recruitment & Onboarding

You’ll also support:
• Recruitment and interviewing
• New starter inductions
• Onboarding and compliance checks
• Delivering training and competency assessments
• Supporting new carers throughout their journey
• Helping ensure our carers are confident and fully prepared before going out into the community

A domiciliary care background would be a huge advantage.

⭐ You will need:

🚗 Full driving licence & your own vehicle
🔎 Enhanced DBS required
📚 Previous experience delivering care training
🎓 Train the Trainer qualified — or willing to undertake
👥 Recruitment/onboarding experience or understanding
💪 Excellent organisation and communication skills
❤️ A genuine passion for developing people and delivering outstanding care

💷 Salary: Dependent on experience
⏰ Full-time position

We’re so excited to be teaming up with Sutton Rose Care Home for a very special screening of the much-loved Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! 🚗💨❤️

At Visiting Angels Birmingham North, we believe care should be about so much more than simply staying at home! It’s about living well, staying connected and continuing to enjoy the things that bring us joy. 💙

📍 Sutton Rose Care Home, Sutton Coldfield

We’ll be providing FREE transport, snacks and drinks, so all that’s left to do is sit back, enjoy the film and hopefully make some lovely new memories! 🍿🥤

🌟 Homecare’s Got Talent 2026! 🌟

We had the absolute pleasure of attending Homecare’s Got Talent, and what a brilliant and unique event it was! 🎤💃✨

We watched some incredibly talented carers step into the spotlight and showcase talents that you might never get to see during their working day and we loved every minute of it!

One of the things that really stood out to us was the message behind the event. Carers are so much more than their job title. 💙

They’re singers, dancers, performers, creatives… they have passions, personalities and sometimes some very well-hidden talents! 🌟

In care, we spend so much time celebrating what carers do for others, so it was really special to see an event dedicated to celebrating who they are as individuals too.

A huge well done to everyone who performed it takes some serious courage to get up on that stage! 👏

We absolutely love being part of a company that supports opportunities like this and truly recognises the incredible people behind the care. 😇💙

The Visiting Angels Birmingham North team is delighted to be attending the Sutton Rose Summer Fayre on Saturday 8th August, 12pm–4pm! 💜

It’s set to be a fantastic afternoon with something for everyone, including:
🍔 BBQ
🛍️ Local stalls
🐑 Farm animal experience
🎉 Fun for all ages
