Sometimes healing is less about suddenly feeling better, and more about noticing what starts to become available again. A little more patience. A little more curiosity. A little more capacity for connection.

The nervous system doesn’t need to be forced. Sometimes it just needs enough safety, time and gentleness to begin returning in its own way.

06/08/2026

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do isn’t to push through.

It’s to create enough safety for our nervous system to remember that the danger has passed.

That’s what I’ve been practising.

If this speaks to where you are today, I hope it reminds you to be a little gentler with yourself. 🤍

Return to Yourself | Tonight | 7:00–8:30pm

Life asks a lot of us.

We’re constantly responding, holding things together and moving onto the next thing on the list. We move between the roles we play, parent, partner, friend, colleague, carer, and somewhere along the way it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves.

Tonight is an invitation to pause.

To step away from the noise, the expectations and the distractions for just 90 minutes and come back to the one thing that has been with you all along… your breath.

Through Conscious Connected Breathwork, we’ll gently work with the nervous system, creating space to meet whatever you’re carrying with compassion rather than judgment. There’s nothing you need to perform, fix or figure out. No masks to wear. No pressure to be anything other than exactly as you are.

As you deepen your relationship with your breath, your body and your nervous system, you begin to develop a way of staying with yourself, not just in the session, but in everyday life, especially in those moments when life feels overwhelming or activating.

If your body has been whispering that it needs some space, perhaps this is it.

I’d love to welcome you.

I’ve just come home from a week’s holiday and I’m shattered!

It was a holiday we’d booked before losing my brother, and for a while we weren’t even sure whether we’d go.

I’m really glad we did.

There’s been such beautiful moments of love, connection and laughter.

But there’s also been a HUGE amount of containing.

Containing my grief, my rage, my frustration.

Containing myself!!

So coming home today, I’m letting go of holding it all together.

I don’t have to be okay.

I don’t have to caretake anyone else’s experience of me and finally allow myself to f*cking fall apart!!

Gracefully, gently, lovingly and messy!

If that means staying in my pyjamas for the next 24 hours, then that’s what it means.

If it means not brushing my hair until tomorrow, then thats what that means too.

If it means crying,(are there anymore tears left?) sleeping, staring into space, sitting in the garden or doing absolutely nothing…

Then that’s what my body needs.

Sometimes we spend so long containing ourselves that we forget our nervous system also deserves somewhere safe to unravel and for me right now is in the sanctuary of my own home. Connecting with my breath and beginning to gently soften my diaphragm and allowing this heavy and jangled body to settle.

And trust that I don’t have to keep holding everything together.

Falling apart isn’t the opposite of healing. It’s part of it.

What would it look like to give yourself permission to fall apart in the most loving way today? 🤍

Grief has a way of making life feel incredibly heavy.

Some days, even the simplest things can feel like too much.

I’ve learnt that I don’t always need to change how I’m feeling.

I just need something that gently brings me back into my body.

For me, today, that was a few quiet minutes in cool, refreshing water.

Feeling my breath.

Feeling my heartbeat.

Feeling the water on my skin and my body feeling held and supported within it.

Nothing was fixed.

Nothing disappeared.

But for a few moments, I remembered what it feels like to simply be alive. To be present with all that is.

Grief asks me to remember the people I’ve lost.

These moments help me remember that life is here, with every breath i take!

And somehow, holding both of those truths at the same time feels like an act of gratitude.

Grief has its own gravity.

It isn’t just the sadness, it’s the way it changes the weight of ordinary things.

Replying to a message can feel like climbing a mountain.

Making a phone call can take all morning.

Deciding what to cook feels overwhelming.

Even opening the curtains some days can feel like more than you have to give.

From the outside, it can look as though someone has gone quiet, become distant, or isn’t making the effort.

But often, they’re simply carrying a weight that’s invisible to everyone else.

One thing this experience has reminded me is not to take someone’s silence personally. We rarely know what another person is carrying, and grief is as individual as the love that came before it.

If someone you care about is grieving, be patient.

Keep reaching out, without expectation.

Don’t worry about finding the perfect words.

A simple, “I’m thinking of you,” can become something they hold onto far more than you’ll ever know.

And if you’re the one carrying grief…

Please know that you’re not doing it wrong.

Grief has its own gravity.

So if life feels heavier right now, perhaps it’s because you’re carrying something that matters.

❤️

I’ve been a little quieter on here recently.

Not because I’ve had nothing to say, quite the opposite.

Life has asked me to put my full attention somewhere else.

This week we laid my brother to rest.

I’m not sharing that because I want sympathy. I’m sharing it because grief and death is part of being human, and so many of the people I work with are carrying loss of one kind or another.

One thing this past month has reminded me of is that healing isn’t about staying strong all the time. Sometimes it’s about letting yourself be held.

By people.

By nature.

By your own breath.

By the simple rituals that help you find your feet again.

I’ll find my way back here gradually.

For now, I’m simply taking life one day at a time.

Take good care of yourselves and each other ☀️

What a beautiful few days it has been. 🤍

In the midst of moving through a deeply challenging time it felt incredibly nourishing to spend time with this wonderful cohort of Seven Directions students as they completed their graduation practicum.

After supporting my mentees over the past 10 months online, finally meeting them in person and witnessing their breathwork journeys come to life has been such a privilege.

What I admire so much about the Seven Directions training is that it isn’t simply about learning to facilitate breathwork. It asks each person to do the courageous work of meeting themselves first. To breathe, to feel, to heal, and to grow. From that place, truly beautiful facilitators emerge.

This isn’t a training that simply teaches a breathwork technique. It is a deeply immersive and comprehensive journey that spans an entire year. Alongside learning the art of Conscious Connected Breathwork, students explore the science of functional breathing, the psychology of trauma, somatic experiencing, anatomy and physiology, ethics and professional boundaries, consent, and the practical skills needed to safely and confidently hold space for others and so much more!!

It is this depth, integrity and commitment that gives me such trust in every graduate who leaves this training. I feel incredibly proud to be part of a school that honours the medicine of breath with such care, responsibility and respect.

Watching a group of people come together, supporting one another and celebrating each other’s growth has been incredibly moving.

I feel so much gratitude for the opportunity to walk alongside these beautiful humans.

A heartfelt thank you to Ali Gilling for leading the cohort, to Natalie Vallely - Advanced Therapeutic Breath Coach my fellow mentor and dear friend and the entire Steph Magenta Wilcock | Breathwork Training team for continuing to hold such a grounded, authentic and deeply transformative training, and for protecting the integrity of this powerful medicine.

The breath continues to amaze me. Every single time.

Congratulations, beautiful graduates. It has been an honour to witness your journey. 🤍

Grief is a funny old thing.

One minute you’re contemplating life, love and everything in between…

…the next you’ve forgotten to put the bins out and you’ve got maggots. FFS! Hell to the nah!!! 😩🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I actually notice there was a part of me that feels embarrassed even admitting that.

Then I smiled because grief isn’t neat. It isn’t polished. It doesn’t just look like tears.

It looks like forgetting things.
Losing track of what day it is.
Standing in the kitchen shouting “ffs sake I’ve forgot to put the bin out!”
Life somehow carries on whilst another part of you feels like it’s standing completely still.

So I made a cup of tea, wandered down to my little patch of wildflowers to see what had bloomed overnight, and carried on with my morning. Re bagging my bin bags and bleaching my wheelie bin!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Beautiful.
Messy.
Very, very ordinary.

I think that’s grief too. 🤍
