'Creating Space' to Make, Explore and Reflect.

1:1 Art Therapy (adults) and Clinical Supervision. No previous creative experience is necessary.

‘Creating Space’ offers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing through a range of creative artistic sessions. These sessions including:- guided workshops- focusing on learning new skills and trying new things, expressive studio sessions - for individuals to find their own creative stride, and individual Art Therapy (with a qualified, HCPC and BAAT Registered practitioner). We all lead busy li

ves, and time to ourselves is precious and creativity often stifled. ‘Creating Space’ supports having space and time to focus on you to develop and nurture your expressive side, by providing a non judgemental and safe setting. These sessions are delivered in a variety of community venues in Worcester aiming to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. Art materials are provided but you are always welcome to bring your own if you wish. Some of our guided workshops include: ‘Intention sticks’ ‘Meditative Painting’ and ‘Kick Start Your Creativity’. creating fictional characters with , walking a sacred spiral, talks on knick knacks, collection, pilgrimage and motorvehicle magic/folk. More today with 'Humannis Deck' and many many fantastic talks on therapeutic practice!

What does the 'Art' in Art Psychotherapy mean?
We use the artwork made in the sessions to be able to stay curious about, sit with and notice what might be going on in someones experience. Often this is really helpful when we just can't find the right vocabulary to explain whats going on or maybe it's just too confusing. The artwork helps us to stay focussed, and express whats really happening (if we are paying attention, even to the smallest thing).
It doesn't need to be perfect or anything specific. Usually what needs some space wil make itself known if it has the chance!
