📸 A great evening in Northfield! 💙

Tonight I had the pleasure of co-hosting the ComeLetUs Prostate Cancer Support Group at Northfield Methodist Church, alongside Tony from ComeLetUs and Phil from the Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group.

Thank you to everyone who came along. Honest conversations, shared experiences and a warm welcome are what make these evenings so special. Nobody should face prostate cancer alone, and tonight was a great reminder of why.

A big thank you to Tony and Phil for their time, energy and commitment to supporting men and their families

Back from London, tired but fired up. 💙

Today at Prostate Cancer Research's "Meet the Scientists" I sat on the patient panel and spent the day talking with the researchers behind the breakthroughs of tomorrow: better blood tests to catch aggressive cancer early, AI-assisted scans, new treatments for cancer that has spread to bone, and work to make sure Black men get diagnosed sooner and get fair access to care.

What stayed with me most is that the scientists genuinely want to hear from us. Our stories shape their questions.

My message to men: don't wait for symptoms. Talk to your GP about your risk, especially if you're over 50, Black, or have a family history of prostate cancer. Early detection saved my life.

If you or someone you love is living with prostate cancer and wants to talk, my door is always open. Message me any time.

📍 London today!

I'm at the Wellcome Collection for Prostate Cancer Research's "Meet the Scientists" event, and I'm honoured to be on the patient panel this morning.

This isn't a day of long lectures. It's real conversations between researchers and people who have lived with prostate cancer. I was diagnosed in 2013, at 50, and I've been volunteering since 2014 because I know how much early detection and good support matter.

Today I'll be sharing what it's really like from a patient's side, and I'll be listening hard to the scientists working on better blood tests, smarter scans, kinder treatments and ways to close the gap in care for Black men.

What I learn, I'm bringing back to the men and families I meet across the West Midlands. If you'd like me to ask a scientist something on your behalf, drop it in the comments. 👇

📣The BALANCE study is the first international study of its kind, looking at the experiences and quality of life of Black and mixed-race men diagnosed with prostate cancer. Led by the European Association of Urology, with Prostate Cancer UK leading the international analysis, it aims to hear from at least 800 men.

Your voice matters. Your story counts. 💙

🎉 Huge congratulations
to Rupert Aikman, Health Equity Manager at Prostate Cancer Research, on completing his 200th parkrun! 🏃‍♂️

Love the way he's engaging with fellow runners while promoting Prostate Cancer Research along the way — a brilliant example of thinking outside the box to raise awareness. Well done, Rupert! 👏
