🎹 A wonderful afternoon filled with music! 🎹

Our resident Daphne shared her incredible talent and love of playing the piano by performing for fellow residents and staff.
Music is something Daphne truly enjoys and it was a pleasure to see her doing something that brings her so much happiness while bringing smiles to everyone around her.

At the heart of person-centred care is supporting people to continue enjoying the activities, hobbies and passions that are important to them.
By encouraging residents to do what they love, we help promote wellbeing, independence, confidence and meaningful engagement.

A huge thank you to our wonderful dementia specialist Karen for coming in and delivering such an insightful and engaging training session for our staff. 💙

The session gave our team a deeper understanding of what it can feel like living with dementia, helping us to build even more empathy, compassion and awareness in the care we provide every day.

Our staff thoroughly enjoyed the training and learnt so much from the experience.

Recently, residents have been enjoying time out in the garden, taking in fresh air, gentle movement, and the calming benefits of being outdoors 💙

Whether it’s a short walk, a moment in the sunshine, or simply sitting and enjoying the surroundings, these everyday experiences play an important role in supporting wellbeing and quality of life.

We continue to encourage independence in a way that feels safe and comfortable for each individual, supporting choice, confidence, and enjoyment in daily routines 🌿

What a wonderfully busy day here at EV! 😊

Our residents enjoyed a lovely church service, followed by fitness stretching to keep everyone moving and feeling great 💪✨
We were also entertained by the wonderful Richard the signer, who brought lots of smiles and joy to the day.

We are also excited to welcome Alice, our new activity coordinator, who will be helping bring even more exciting activities for everyone to enjoy ❤️

And of course, we must not forget the visit from our amazing manicurist Claire, who helped everyone feel pampered and polished 💅

Uff… what a busy day indeed, but filled with laughter, fun and happy moments all around! 😊

This morning we had a truly special treat - Denise, one of our residents’ relatives, kindly came in to play the harp for us. 🎶

The beautiful, gentle melodies filled the room with such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and it was a delight to see everyone enjoying the moment. It really lifted spirits and created a lovely start to the day.

Thank you, Denise, for sharing your wonderful talent with us - we all appreciated it so much! 💛
