DBRC IS GROWING — AND WE'RE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER COACH 🏃‍♂️🖤❤️

Since launching, Dargavel & Bishopton Run Club has grown incredibly quickly. We've welcomed complete beginners, experienced runners and everyone in between — and we're now looking to grow our coaching team alongside the club.
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for running, community, inclusivity and helping people progress.

**Please note This is a voluntary, unpaid position.**

We're not looking for someone simply because they're a fast runner. We're looking for someone who can coach people, communicate well with different abilities, create a welcoming environment and genuinely buy into what we're building at DBRC.

You'll have the opportunity get involved with sessions and develop your coaching within the club.
The longer-term aim is to see the person develop and can then have our trust to lead DBRC sessions in my absence, while maintaining the standards and ethos we've established.
If you're appropriately qualified, working towards a recognised coaching qualification, or have relevant coaching experience and think you'd be a good fit for DBRC, I'd love to hear from you.

🏃 DBRC × Coffee Container ☕️

Some partnerships just make sense.

When I first sat down and spoke with Jamie from Coffee Container about the possibility of working together, we started talking about what we could actually create for the people of Dargavel and Bishopton.

It quickly became clear that we shared the same vision.

I had the coaching experience and running knowledge while Jamie had created a fantastic social hub at Coffee Container. Put the two together and we realised we could create something that we felt was genuinely missing in the village.

A place where EVERYONE is welcome

Experienced runners, complete beginners, people returning to running, people who simply want to get fitter, and those who just want to meet people and enjoy being part of something.

Through DBRC, we can bring people together to train together, improve together on a Wednesday and run socially together on a Sunday.

And through Coffee Container, we have somewhere to bring that community together…to grab a coffee, have a chat and build the relationships that make a community more than just a group of people who run.

That's what this partnership is about.

It's not simply a running club partnering with a coffee stop.

It's two local people sharing the same values, working together to create opportunities, support local people and ultimately contribute to making Dargavel and Bishopton an even better place to live, work and belong.

We're incredibly proud to be working with Jamie and Coffee Container, and the best part…..we're only just getting started.

Our next DBRC Couch to 5km brought to you by MJB Endurance

Over the next 9 weeks complete beginners will take their first steps towards running 5km in a supportive, coached environment.

This isn't just about finishing a 5km.

It's about building confidence, improving your health, making new friends and becoming part of a community that will continue long after graduation.

And when these runners complete the programme, they won't be wondering what comes next...

They'll already have a home at Dargavel & Bishopton Run Club.
