If you have never experienced complementary therapies before, you may have some questions about what to expect.
If you have booked your first appointment with me, here's a few FAQ's.
Q: Is there parking?
A: Yes! Right in front of the building
Q: Are there steps, is there a ground floor toilet?
A: The therapy rooms are on the ground floor, toilets too with a disabled access option.
Q: I'm a large build, will the massage couch be strong enough?
A: The maximum weight for the massage couch is 180kg (28 stone).
Q: Will I have to lie flat, that's not comfortable for me?
A:No, the couch can be adjusted or we can support you with foam bolsters/rolled towels to make you feel comfortable. Reflexology is performed with client in a partially reclined position.
Q: Do I need to shave my legs? Absolutely not! It's better not to schedule your appointment directly after a leg wax as certain essential oils may irritate.
Q: Do I need to wear particular clothes?
A: No. Come in comfortable clothes. Depending on what therapy you choose only certain items need to be removed and you will be covered with towels to preserve your modesty. Only the area worked will be exposed.
Q: Do I have to listen to background music?
A: Not at all. You can choose your preferred tunes , soothing sounds of nature or nothing at all.
Q: Do we have to chat, I'd rather just "switch off" during my massage.
A: I like to chat to ALL new clients at the start of the session to learn more about your reasons for attending, any relevant health issues which may impact how we progress with the therapies e.g. allergies to certain essential oils. However, (much as I like a chat...) you're welcome to a bit of peace and quiet during your massage/reflexology. I may just check in with you from time to time to see if you're comfortable, the pressure I'm using is ok etc.
Can you think of anything I haven't mentioned?
